         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Austrailian Bushfires started in June of 2019 just before the arrival of spring. New out of control fires started in September of 2019. In November of 2019, the fire situation worsened significantly. Temperatures increased, and a continuous drought.</p>]]></description>

The native forests and wildlife w were suffering due to deforestation. 12 million acres of land were destroyed. Nearly 3 million mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds were believed to have died or been misplaced due to the fires. Over a million species faced extinction.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mental health: Often times, people experience mental trauma from evacuating their homes, losing their homes, pets, and belongings. Sometimes the communities find it difficult to evacuate their home quickly. </p><p><br></p><p>The 2019-2020 Australian Bushfires got the name "Black Summer" because of how severe these fires were. The fires peaked in December of 2019. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Australian Government offered financial aid to those who needed it. This was to help to rebuild homes. Thousands of firefighters helped take the fires out. Firefighters from the US, Canada, and New Zealand even came out to Australia to take the fires out. The Australian Government provided the support for those who evacuated their homes. They had emergency shelters for those who left their homes. </p>]]></description>

Around 3 million species were impacted during the fires. Species faced threats to their survival. The Australian Bushfires overall, acted as a turning point for everything relating to the environment. </p>]]></description>
