         <title>Email Marketing</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is when companies communicate with their (potential) customers through emails.<br><br></div><div>This method of communication can be used by companies to advertise themselves and promote business. If a customer has signed up to marketing from a company, the emails they receive will be personalized. For example, providing them with information about products they may wish to buy based on their recent transactions.<br><br><strong>Examples:</strong><br><br>The following is an example from Graze.com. It is personalized and provides the customer the opportunity to give feedback on the products they received. Open, click through and conversion rates can be discovered through this way.</li></ul><div><strong>Limitations:</strong></div><ul><li>Customers may not open all their emails as they receive so many and may think it to be spam.</li><li>Engagement may be limited, as a customer may only sign up to an email marketing service for a specific promotion, then ignore future emails or even unsubscribe from the subscription. This means these emails have to be constantly tweaked to encourage engagement.</li><li>Sometimes the appearance of email marketing may look different on different browsers and mobile devices. This will be frustrating for the person designing the email as they have worked hard on it.</li></ul>]]></description>
