The educator should take great pains at the start to front-load expectations to students - you have editing access as the creator of each padlet, but that doesn't mean some students might use the tool inappropriately. For students, it's a great way for them to express their ideas (via text, images, video, etc.). For educators, it allows for identifying what all students know rather than the one's that raise their hands in class.

The students can create their own padlet and turn it, into you or you can create one and let them access it. We are always looking for ways to have students collaborate or share a thought and padlet allows us to do that with ease. Padlet allows for the quiet student to have a chance to speak in a non threatening way. Depending on how you set up padlet it can be anonymous or you can have the students identify themselves. Overall, padlet is an amazing tool that all teachers should try!
