Native Americans comprise less than 1 percent of the U.S. population today, but make up large populations in some southern and western states, where the commission found 18 lawsuits against efforts at vote dilution. So my question is "Have Native Americans actually had on impact on voting ratios?

The article, "Where is Voter Discrimination the worst?" brings out that, "Today's discrimination is much more subtle that it was in the past." So, is this statement saying that discrimination is more secretive and just as bad as it has been in the past?

In the reading passage "Where is Voter Discrimination the Worst?", it says "the commission found 18 lawsuits against efforts at vote dilution." This shows that the "free" country is still having many problems and conflicts simply because of skin color. Though today racial discrimination is less seen, the civil war broke out because of the same issue in the end. So, if we continue to have racial discrimination, will we have another war break out? If not, what will happen?

In "Native Americans refusing to be underrepresented any longer" it says that De Leon says some discrimination includes limiting the number of registration forms for reservations, putting polling locations in sheriff's offices to intimidate voters, denying polling locations on reservations and shutting down tribal polling locations under the guise of disability compliance issues. My question is why doesn’t are country represent freedom the way we see it?

"The report also considered forms of discrimination, such as intimidation." People's idea's of what intimidation means can be swayed by unconscious bias, aka, by looking through their jade-tinted-glasses or their rose-tinted-glasses. Some may view something as intimidation, however another may not. I wonder which kind of glasses the author is wearing.
