Expression:
I hope to be able to create music that shows varying emotions and varying dramatic sounds. I hope it the emotions used would make sense . For example one part is confused then another part happy.

My group members and I each came up with our own melodies separately. Later we combined all of our melodies, and exchanged our melodies with each other according to what instrument we played and how well we could play it.

2. Melody
 I have used to the scales to create my melody by adding a few varying counts into my melody. This was a new experience as this ensemble allowed me to find out what a C major scale was and how I could use it to create melodies with the help of my group mates
3. Chords
Explain how your understanding of the use of chords has help you to create accompaniment and melody. The chords have helped me know the types of rhythms I can create using the scales

My proudest moment was when my composition had the right sound effect - it made the people watching my performance have the appropriate emotions at the appropriate times.

With respect to my goals, what was my greatest challenge?
The greatest challenge was to be original for the garage band as there were not many appropriate sounds to choose from for everyone.

What can I do to improve?
To encourage my team members to use their creativity as many of them weren't very creative and as a result our sounds for the group ensemble were Similar.

1. I think it was the most creative prototype because of the ideas. Most groups did something simple, like the things that Mr Yeo taught us, but that group used a swirly ramp instead of the normal straight ones it mimic a slide in the playground, which was a good idea and it worked, and instead of a vertical pulley triggered by a marble or ball bearing, their group used a limit switch to trigger a parallel pulley, which was without strings and was disguised as a round-a-bout. Moreover, nobody had the same team as the, which was olden day playing.  They had used a pulley and a lever, but it wasn't obvious and was hidden nicely so it was very creative.

2.The bicentennial project by my  team didn't look very creative, in the  sense that we used everything as Mr Yeo had showed us, and our creativity part was adding pictures of singaporean local food. (there aren't as many pictures as we had planned due to lack of time) One thing that we can learn from their group was to incorporate ideas into our mechanisms instead of just pasting pictures of things above it to make it look more creative. By that, I mean that their group turned the pulley into a round-a-bout, however my group just pasted a (badly drawn) chilli crab on top, which didn't look like such a creative thing.

My proudest moment was when the pictures in my first iMovie was not as shaky as I expected.
With respect to my goals, what was my greatest challenge?
My greatest challenge was during taking pictures for the animation, as I couldn't take photos properly. However I think I improved on this. My pictures still are not perfect, but they are better than before.
What can I do to improve?
Use the cardboard box phone stand thing more effectively to take photos that are not shaky.

My goal for this Activity was to not make my pictures vary too much because I have done Animation before on Powerpoint before and the video was not nice due to the fact that the angle from which i copy my photo to would be different which makes my video look weird. Also I have not used iMovie to make short videos before, I have only used it in Music to insert pictures, so this was a first experience for me and I had to figure out how to use iMovie in a way to make my video as nice as possible. My Goal for this lesson was to be as creative as possible even with the limited number of background ideas my partner and I had. We also had a limited amount of pictures that we could us as my magazine contained mostly words and my partner did have many small objects in hers. My goal for this lesson was to be as creative as possible cause we had to make our character walk, and my partner and I wanted to make it as creative and abstract as possible, but the problem was that there were not many places where the character could walk in other than a garden, which we did not want to do as in the example that Mrs Lai showed us, her figure was walking in a garden, and many others were also doing the garden setting, and we wanted our work to be abstract. My goal for this activity was to be as neat as possible as we were doing watercolour painting for our pair work, and I weakness in art was paint as I do not know how to handle it. My partner also had that weakness, so what we thought of doing as simple of a background that would be easy and not messy to do, and would look nice and as professional as possible. We could only think of sunset. It may have not been an original idea as many others were doing it, but either way we tried our best.
