In the source it states, “to provide more facilities for the mushrooming of local cultural activities” this suggests that the government is providing artists a hub to more easily showcase their local art to help them gain more attraction and attention. This allows more development in the art scene, making it easier to survive financially as they have the facilities and tools to help them develop their art and more artists are able to grow. Thus the Singapore government is doing enough to develop the art scene as they provide the necessary materials that the helps more artists to grow.

Source A states that “The official announcement for the venue was issued in 1990, in a climate of economic uncertainty when Singapore was just coming out of its first post-independence recession.” This means that although Singapore was in an economically unstable state at that period of time, the government still gave all the support they could to local artists by providing them with a special venue where they can express themselves. The government believed in the local artists and this enabled them to grow as an individual as well as a country. Therefore, the government is doing enough in source A.
