         <description><![CDATA[<div>José Saramago was a famous Portuguese author from Azinhaga who received the Nobel prize in Literature in 1998. <br>He wrote poems, plays and novels, including <strong><em>Baltasar and Bimunda</em></strong><em> </em>and <strong><em>The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis</em></strong>. His novel <strong><em>Blindness</em></strong> was made into a film in 2008.&nbsp;<br>Saramago died in 2010 at the age of 87.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>José Saramago was born in Azinhaga do Riba tejo-Golvão in 1922.He moved to Lisbon with his pamily in 1924.In 1940he finished his studies in mechanic. He was self-taught in history,literature and philosophy.He wrote is frist book "Terra do pecada" in 1947 and in 1991 wrote his most controversial book "O envangelho segundo Jesus Cristo".In 1985 he wrote his most famous book "O ensaio sobre a cegueira" and 1998 he won a Nobel Prize.He created the foundation "José Saramago" in 2007 and died three years later<br><br><mark>Feito por:Beatriz Neves</mark>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<pre>Author of more than 40 titles, José Saramago was born in 1922, in the village of Azinhaga.
He was a locksmith, mechanic, civil servant, editorial technician, writer, translator, journalist, poet, columnist, playwright, short story writer, novelist, playwright, screenwriter, essayist
The nights spent in the public library of Palácio Galveias, in Lisbon, were fundamental for his training.
In 1947 he published his first book entitled "A Viúva", Six years later, in 1953, he would finish the novel Claraboia, published only after his death.
In the late 1950s, he became responsible for production at Editorial Estúdios Cor, a role he would combine with that of translator, from 1955 onwards, and literary critic. José Saramago received the Camões Prize in 1995 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998.José Saramago was born on November 16, 1922 in
Azinhaga, Golegã, Portugal and died on June 18, 2010 (87 years old) in the
Tías, Province of Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain.
