Mary Shelley was born in 1792. She wrote Frankenstein when she was just 18 years old. She was the first woman to write a science fiction novel. She wrote it in just one summer.

Chapter 1

During an Arctic journey, Robert Walton fine a man on the ice, about the die, Victor Frankenstein, who tells him his story.

"Captain, something is moving on the ice. Look over there."

Chapter 2

Victor explains his childhood in Switzerland, he explained he loves science, also explain his family and his friend Henry Clerval. He explained her motivation of learn about electricity.

"I began to read all the books that I could find about electricity and its terrible power."

Chapter 3

Victor explains that he's going to the University of Ingolstadt. Then, he meets Waldman, who becomes an important influence on him. The death of his mother triggers his obsession with reviving the dead.

"The time came for me to go to University. I did not want to leave my family, but we all knew that I should go."

Chapter 4

Victor began his personal project and created the creature using parts of other people's bodies, applying his knowledge of science and electricity. When he finished the monster, he fled in horror, leaving the creature alone.

"The dead body had been an ugly thing, but alive, it was much more horrible. Suddenly I wanted to escape from it."

Chapter 5

Victor receives a letter from his parents informing him that his little brother William is dead and was murdered in the forest. Victor goes to Geneva, the crime scene, and discovers that the killer is his monster.

"Your dear youngest brother, William, is dead. He was murdered."

Chapter 6

His family was sad about the loss of William, and the maid Justine Moritz was accused of the crime and sentenced to death. Victor knew the truth, and he felt guilty.

"We were sure that Justine would be free after the trial, because nobody could believe that she was a murder. But we were wrong."

Chapter 7

The monster tells his story. He explains how everyone is afraid of him and wants to hurt him. Then, he starts watching a family. When he tries to get close to them, they reject him in a very violent way. Because of this, he decides to take revenge.

"They wanted to kill me. I was badly hurt, but I escaped and ran into the open country"

Chapter 8

The monster explains that a girl named Sophie, who came from Turkey, arrived at the house. Since she didn’t speak English, the family taught her to speak. The monster also learned to speak and write, another things. Felix and Sophie were going to get married, but Felix lost his money, and she ran away to be with him.

"I leart of the love between mother and father and child. And I realized that I had no family"

Chapter 9

The monster felt sad, and angry, so he went down to Geneva looking for his creator Victor Frankenstein in his way he saved a girl from drowning but got attacked by her father and felt worse. When he arrived to the town he accidentally meet a little boy turning to be Victor's son and killed him by accidentally and enjoyed it. He decided to point an innocent woman.

"Let me go, or I will tell my father, Mr Frankenstein. He will call the police"

Chapter 10

The monster arrived to Victor's house and faced him, And demanded a Woman for him because he feels lonely, Victor said he would do then he travelled to London with Henry Clevad and built a laboratory in the desert to start the project.

"I shall do what you ask "I told him" but you must promise to stay away from other people.

Chapter 11

After 2 months of work, he realized it was a terrible plan to make a monster woman, it was to evil, so he destroyed the body, while the monster was in the window and he shouted. He escaped by sea and got arrested.

"You have destroyed all my hopes of happiness, you have left me with one feeling... hate, I will destroy your happiness. You will be sorry that you were ever born"

Chapter 12

After realizing the murder of Henry, he felt terribly guilty and sad because he knew the monster has done, V. Frankenstein felt ill for two months, then his father shown up at took him for recovery, he received a letter from Elizabeth asking about the promise of love and marriage, he travelled to meet her and planned the weeding for ten days, he plans to attack the monster so he got a gun and a knife for that date.

" I remembered the monster's promise to be with me on the night of my weeding, let him come we will fight to death on that night ."

Chapter 13

After the weeding, they leave for honeymoon to a hotel, Victor asked Elizabeth to go to the room, and he made a turn looking for the monster a loud shout from Elizabeth warned him and returned to the room to find out the dead body of her and the monsters through the window, he returned home and talked to his father who was so impressed and die in his arms, he promised to kill the monster as his only goal in life.

" On the bed, Elizabeth lay still on the cold sleep of the death. I took her in my arms ... and saw the marks of the murder's finger on her neck"

Chapter 14

In his infinitive sadness, the only thing that remains him alive was the hunt, he followed the monster up to the north he even got a dog and a sled to the hunt due to the weather and resources he became close to dead the luck was by his side and got rescued by capitan Walton who carefully listened to his story and accepted to finished his hunt and tell the people about the evil of the creature. Then he died.

"There is no more to say except to thank you, capitan Walton, for your help and kindness."

Chapter 15

Victor finishes telling his story and asks Captain Walton to kill the monster for him and explain the story. Victor dies, and the captain feels sad. The monster appears and he feels guilty.

My opinion

Frankenstein is a fascinating story that I really enjoyed. It made me think about the consequences of our actions and the responsibility we have for them. The way the characters develop and the emotions they go through kept me interested from start to finish. It’s a book that makes you reflect on good and bad.
