I use Mathematics in my daily life in situations like when I wake up, I usually estimate the time that I'm going to take to get ready for school. I wake up at 4 am and eat for about 20 minutes and at 4:30, I go to the comfort room to take a bath. At 5:00 am, I usually get ready to go to school because my class is at 6:00 am. That's the first example of situation that I use in my daily life. Second, when I go back home, I usually go to the market. To buy the things that I need, I need money. I can use Math to also estimate and budget the money that I have. Last is that we have a sari-sari store and it's very important to know math. You need to think mentally or even use a calculator to sum up the customer bought and these are the situations that I usually do in my daily life.

2. Is math an effective way of describing the world? Cite some examples.

Yes, math is an effective way of describing the world. We cannot understand anything in this world without the use of math. After all, Galileo Galilei, a famous mathematician said "Math is the language of the universe." meaning, it is more than just a number and measurements. Math is also about our world. You see that in the 21st century, we are now in a high technology environment, doesn't that make you question on how did they invent these things? A simple answer for that is because of Math. Another example is the money that we have. We all know that the world revolves around money. Money is the amount of a paper thus making it relevant to Math. We use this money to get the things that we want. Without this, we wouldn't get anything in this world. So, it's a very effective way of describing the world. Last example that I have in mind is the things that we have discovered, the things that we use right now and somewhat correlated to the high technology but because of Math, we are able to be advanced. We are able to understand what are the possible things that are outside of this world and that is why the world can be described by Math.
