This is Valve Corporation and we would like you to create a website that showcases some of the most popular teams in CS:GO. Each team will have its own profile page, and this will lead to individual profiles for each player on that team. The team profile page must have a link to each individual player, the teams social media and a list of the teams sponsors. The player profile page must have a link to their chosen social medias along with a link to their chosen streaming and video platform pages (Youtube, twitch etc.) The player profile page must also have some personal details about the players and this can vary depending on the player. We would also like you to include a home page that will have links to a page where you can download steam and buy CS:GO.

We would like you to have this completed by the 30th of October. This should give you ample time to give us an early version of what you have been working on and if we like it then we will tell you what to change and we will continue from there.

There may be some constraints while making the website and we will be happy to provide services to help you with these possible problems. You may find it hard to find out some personal facts about each player for their profile and this may take a bit of time. My design has the players more separated and in their own ‘info boxes’ which the user can click on to take them to that player’s profile page. The team page will also include a brief summary of their accomplishments as a squad. The page will also display the companies that currently endorse the organisation. These logos will be clickable and will send the user to that company’s website home page. This page will also have a link to the company’s relevant social Medias. The colour scheme will also be similar because it gives a modern aesthetic which will appeal to a younger audience which is most likely to follow competitive gaming.  

The image to the left will be similar to the team selection page in the final product. It will show each team’s logo with their name above it and will link the user to that team’s home page which will display relevant information about the team. Just like the info box, this will not be the same colour scheme because it is too blocky and not a modern colour scheme.

I will also need to gather all the team logos to be placed on the banner at the top of the page.

I first transferred my images from the previous folder into the website folder. After this I made my html file and used code from my previous assignment as a base. I first made the home page where the user selects which team they would like to view. I used code from the gallery page from the website template to showcase the team logos and searched up how to attach hyperlinks to them. 

I then began making the banner template which I would be using as the base for all the team banners. I then decided that it looked a bit empty so I added texture to the left side with the addition of carbon or marble depending on the team colors. I also added a sort of shadow affect to the logo to give it some depth.

I inserted all the images into the code and resized all the player images to make them fit. The banners were placed into the code and the colour of the navbar was changed to complement the team banner. New divs were created for each team page for the sponsor images to make sure they all fit on the same line. 

The information on the website was sourced from liquipedia and placed into each webpage. The home page was made and the information was obtained from the CS:GO website

This was solved easily when reviewing the css for the row and column divs, and this was fixed by recreating the div multiple times with different width percentages for the different amount of images lined up in a row. 

Another problem I ran into was finding the same images for the player profiles while collecting my images but after a while I found a website call HLTV.org that has nicely taken and sized player portraits.

Some of the images collected for the website were changed out for higher quality images so that they could be stretched and morphed without distorting them for the team banners, however this was a very minor change. The other change was to the banner themselves.
