In Samara, air pollution is 43% higher than the average in Russia.
Every year, the Samara region accumulates on its territory up to 500 thousand tons of industrial waste, of which only a third is reused. About 12% of the used waste is processed into cement, a small part of oil sludge is further processed at oil refineries.
Millions of tons of unused waste remain withdrawn from economic circulation, irretrievably lost and not finding application in production. So, to date, the region has accumulated more than 66 million tons of various wastes.

So, as I promised, I rummaged through the net and found what we can do for the ozone layer.

You might be surprised, but it consists of trifles. This is possible even when you don’t want to think about such things as environmental protection.

Let's consider it as components of one big and great cause that we can do! Okay? -)
Then "flew" -)

I would like to start from another ... But I think this is important, and therefore ... Ok.

1. Many of us have fire extinguishers. They are also located in schools, shops and other public places. But not everyone knows that they, too, must be chosen correctly. And if your main ingredient is a halogenated hydrocarbon, take the fire extinguisher for recycling to a hazardous waste collection center and buy a model without ozone-depleting substances.
So it does not harm the ozone layer.

2. Do not buy chlorofluorocarbons spray products.

3. Repair refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners for signs of any problems, without delays. They use ozone-depleting substances. You understand what threatens the leak

(If you wish, you can buy new refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners that do not contain freon or other chlorofluorocarbons).

4. Soon, we will begin to live separately from our parents (someone already) and then we will need furniture. In this case, the sites are advised to buy wood, wood products and plywood that have not been treated with methyl bromide.

5. Do not buy stationery products such as putty or compressed air containing methyl chloroform (oh, hell).

Before that, there were solutions to the problems that we could take on our own. However, if we are together, we can do more, right?

1. Check out the food manufacturers. As a result, the root system of plants is destroyed, and poisons accumulate in the cambium. Acid rain, damaging conifer needles and leaf surface, violates the process of photosynthesis. It contributes to the weakening and slowing down of plant growth, causes their drying out and death, provokes diseases in animals. Humid air with particles of sulfur and sulfates is dangerous for people suffering from respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Such installations will not only reduce the likelihood of acid rain, but also make the air cleaner. !!!

!!! Another way to solve the problem is to reduce the number of vehicles in large cities in order to reduce exhaust emissions.
"to be green" means to be a person whoenvironmental protection.Environmental protection, or Applied ecology-a set of measures aimed at limiting the negative impact of human activities on nature. In English-speaking countries, the concept of environmental science (en: Environmental science) is also often used, which in Russian literature is expressed by the term "environmental science" . Such measures may include: Limiting emissions to the atmosphere and hydrosphere in order to improve the overall environmental situation. ♦ The establishment of reserves, sanctuaries and national parks with the aim of preserving the natural complexes. ♦ Restriction of fishing, hunting in order to preserve certain species. ♦ Restriction of unauthorized waste disposal. Use of methods of ecological logistics for total cleaning of the territory of the region from unauthorized garbage. Today, this problem is becoming more acute every day. Ecology-the science of methods and methods of purification of emissions and discharges, waste processing, technological methods to improve the quality of the environment. Russian sources often use the almost synonymous term "environmental engineering". Ecologism includes water and air pollution control, waste Management and health care.

Being green means that we acknowledge how precious Earth is and the importance of protecting our planet for us. This means that we are is one with nature and we should protect it as ourself. But what does it take to move from being green in theory to being green in practice? It is not enough to accept that humans need to respect and protect our environment. Being green means committing to taking steps, both big and small, to minimise the impact our activities are having on the environment. There are different ways to take care of nature:
1. Replace burned out light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs.
2. use bike instead of car whenever possible
3. you can sort the trash
4. go to the store with your fabric bag
5. Use a refillable water bottle
and much more…
If you turn green for you these rules will become a routine. It is very important to start with yourself. And then you can attach others to yourself. It is important that everyone understands that everything is in our hands.
For understanding more accurately our individual impact on the environment, check WWF’s environmental footprint calculator here: https://footprint.wwf.org.uk/#/

What is it "to be green"? At first glance, this is a very simple and superficial concept. But in fact it has a deep meaning. In my opinion, being green means being close to nature. Try to help her, protect her, save the environment.Green is more than just a color. It is a way to provide a bright future for the next generations. The future is on a planet with green trees, fields, clean air and water. Back in 1995, Michael Jackson wondered about ecology in his "Earth Song" :
"What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain
What about killing fields…
... Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we’ve shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?... "
So, the sooner we understand, that we need to be "green" and take care of nature, the better we can do to the environment, preserve its condition , and possibly improve many times

What's this mean "to be green"?
Green is much more than a colour. It has come to symbolise our natural environment and the planet Earth and how important it is to safeguard them for our own benefit and that of future generations. Being green is living one’s life in a sustainable way and ensuring that our activities as individuals or a community reflect our planetary resource limits. By knowing which of your activities impact the environment the most you can then look to reduce that. It might be that you are using a car which emits a high level of pollutants. You could consider replacing it with a hybrid car which will also help you cut fuel costs. Similarly, opt for products that do not emit any toxic substances into our environment. A lot of personal care products such as creams, shampoos and scrubs or other household items such as soaps, cleaning products and detergents contain chemical substances that upset the balance of ecosystems. While we use these products in our homes, they often end up in the water system and from there into aquatic environments.

The ecological status of the Samara region
As a result of increasing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, chemical pollution of soil, groundwater and surface water, there is an aggravation of environmental problems of the Samara region.

The main sources of these phenomena are more than 650 industrial enterprises, including plants of chemical, energy, petrochemical industry, capacity for the production of mineral fertilizers, gas industry, engineering, etc.

Water fund

The water Fund of the Samara region is characterized by the following factors: the amount of precipitation, surface and underground flows.
With the active growth of production capacity, an increase in water consumption is an indispensable condition.Analysis of environmental problems in the Samara region suggests that environmental pollution remains at a high level. First of all, this is facilitated by petrochemical, energy, machine-building enterprises

Atmosphere
A large number of environmental problems in Samara and the region are associated with increased air pollution, annually 600 thousand tons of harmful elements are emitted into the atmosphere. In Samara, the air pollution index is higher by 43% than the average in Russia.
The Kirov district is considered to be the most unfavorable in terms of air, Zubchaninovka is characterized by an increased content of hydrogen chloride in the air, the most satisfactory environmental situation in the Krasnoglinsky district.
Despite the fact that industrial enterprises use in their work more than 5.2 thousand units for cleaning exhaust gases, for reasons of physical wear, obsolescence, the level of pollution is slightly reduced or remains at the same level.

On the territory of Samara there are 105 large industrial enterprises, which daily emit tens of tons of harmful elements into the air, most of them are in close proximity to residential areas. The three leaders among the air pollutants of industrial enterprises: OJSC "KNPZ", OJSC "Metallist-Samara", JSC "SPAN".

Production waste, MSW

Every year, the Samara region accumulates on its territory up to 500 thousand tons of industrial waste, of which only a third is reused. About 12% of the used waste is processed into cement, a small part of oil sludge is further processed at oil refineries.

Millions of tons of unused waste remain withdrawn from economic circulation, irretrievably lost and not finding use in production. So, to date, more than 66 million tons of various wastes have accumulated in the region.
To make Samara cleaner, we have collected a list of all the points of reception of recycled materials in the city and region:

Reception of waste paper in Samara;
Reception of scrap metal in Samara;
Garbage collection in Samara;
To hand over glass containers in Samara.
They are concentrated in dumps, dumps as a result of flooding by groundwater or precipitation, are sources that pollute the air, water and soil.

On the agenda is often the issue of disposal of solid waste, which is replenished annually in the amount of 3.5 million m3. In connection with the urgent need for landfills alienated more than 360 hectares of land suitable for cultivation.
In Samara and the region, not all environmental problems have been adequately solved, but small improvements are already noticeable: over the past few years, several landfills have been built and operated, where conditions are provided for the disposal of toxic industrial waste at JSC "Sintezspirt", JSC "NovoKuibyshev refinery", as well as a plant for processing solid waste in Togliatti.

Chapaevsky landfill has already begun the process of acceptance of solid waste, near it has already been under construction of a specialized site where industrial waste will be placed.
(Ivanchenko Lisa)

Six main environmental threats of the Samara region
1 The problem of degradation of small and medium rivers. A separate problem is the degradation of the former Volga, which has long been not a river, but a reservoir. The reason for this is a whole range of problems. This also adds the discharge of a large amount of pollutants from the surface runoff, without purification and the widespread use of phosphorus-containing detergents, which lead to the "bloom" of water.
2 Chemical air pollution in Togliatti. This is due to an inadequate level of environmental control and the effectiveness of treatment facilities, primarily of the enterprises of the Northern Industrial Plant. Togliatti can still not be compared in terms of air pollution with such cities as Chelyabinsk, Tagil and Krasnoyarsk. It is much dirtier and more complicated. But this does not mean that if it is worse there, then everything is fine in Togliatti. The problem of air pollution in the city exists, and it must be addressed. I repeat: in Togliatti, pollution occurs due to chemical enterprises, and not only large ones. We usually forget about small and medium enterprises, which also pollute the environment. Most of the air pollution is provided by motor vehicles, not industrial enterprises, but the peculiarity of industrial enterprises is in the consolidation of emissions. That is, in one place a large amount of pollutants is immediately released, and in addition, they, these substances, are specific in composition.
3 The problem of the Togliatti forest, which was unique. On the fingers, you can count the cities of Russia would have a forest within the city and was one of the infrastructure of the city, in fact. The city is built around it. A well-known example is the forest in Akademgorodok in Novosibirsk, but there are very few such examples. Unfortunately, little remains of the Togliatti forest and there are constant attempts to develop forest territory under one pretext or another. What pretexts, we know perfectly.
4 The problem of water quality in the Avtozavodsky district of Togliatti. Water quality in the Volga is consistently poor. During the intake and water treatment of drinking water and water for technical needs, chlorine compounds are used. This is a serious problem and so far it has not been resolved.
5 Catastrophic obsolescence of a treatment plant complex in the Central region of Tolyatti. The new city and the WHA are provided with Vasilievsky treatment facilities, which are in more or less decent condition. But the treatment facilities of the Central region and Northern industrial area have long required modernization.
6 Pollution in Otradnoye and Novokuybyshevsk by industrial enterprises, such as the Remetall plant, which in the Samara region is considered one of the most malicious violators of environmental standards. However, the dirtiest city in the Samara region is still Novokuybyshevsk.

Hlebnova Daria

Now I will show a couple of examples of how people can help the planet.
1. Conserve Water
The little things can make a big difference. Every time you turn off the water while you're brushing your teeth, you're doing something good. Got a leaky faucet? And stop drinking bottled water. Switch to filtered tap water. You'll save a ton of cash and help reduce a ton of plastic waste in the process.
2.Paper consumption
Every year we throw away millions of tons ofpaper. But there is an easy way to cut the expenses in half: double-sided printing or to write on both sides.
3. Walk, Bike or Take Public Transit
Walking and biking are obvious ways to reduce greenhouse gases. Plus you'll get some good cardio and burn some calories while you do it. If you live in an area that's not walkable, take advantage of your local mass transit if you can. . Even one car off on the road makes a difference.
4. Plant a one or two
One young tree can absorb CO2 at a rate of 5 kilograms per tree. And that's just an itty bitty baby tree. Once that tree reaches about 10 years old, it's at its most productive stage of carbon storage. Then it can absorb 21 kilograms of CO2 per year. Trees also remove all other kinds of junk from the air, including sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and small particles. So go ahead, plant a tree.
5. Give Up Plastics
Stop buying bottled water. Say no to plastic shopping bags and use cloth bags instead. Don't use plastic straws. Drink from a reuseable cup instead of a plastic one. Avoiding plastic can divert a ton of waste from the oceans and landfill.

Unfortunately, like other forests, this active forest is cut down. Unfortunately, not only people are the reason for the decrease in forest area. One of the few unique forests is the forest near the city of Togliatti. A similar attitude to nature on the part of manufacturers who want to build their buildings on this site is a big problem for the Samara region in particular. The fires of 2010 is an example of how nature itself can destroy itself. since this year we have restored most of the area of burned forests.

Water resources management About 97.5% of the world's water is salty. The rest is fresh, most of which is locked in the ice. Only 0.3% is available for use. Water scarcity has already affected the lives of 1.2 billion people on all continents. Another 1.6 billion are experiencing difficulties due to the problems of water production and transportation. These figures are rising, not least because demand for water is increasing at twice the rate of the population, leading to long-term shortages. Now people have developed billions. Not only does nature have to feed everyone, so everyone else wants a home, a car and a bunch of things. For this purpose plants are built, mines work, and oil is pumped from the subsoil of the earth, although it is possible to use energy of water, sun, wind. Smoke and other emissions from production enter the atmosphere, soil and water. Man consumes all the resources of the planet, and they are exhausted.

Another man wants to dispose of animals like he created them. He even sometimes kills them just for fun, not food.

Only now have humans been engulfed: animals and plants are dying out, and global warming threatens to drown our entire civilization in the oceans.

Now everyone knows that the planet needs to be taken care of, that it needs to be protected. Only a lot of people think: let the state do it. Or let others try.

But scientists say the planet can only be saved together. Taking care of her is the business of every person and the business of every day. It starts small. It 's to turn off the lights when you don 't need them. Twist the tap so there 's no water for nothing. It 's a solar battery on the roof of the house and an electric motor machine. A tree planted on the street of the city.

I was born on this beautiful planet. I love Earth and I want to I want to keep her safe.

Saving the planet sounds huge doesn’t it? And in essence, it is. But there are many simple ways you can do your bit to help.

1.Recycling is Important
Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which we live. Recycling is important to both the natural environment and us. We must act fast as the amount of waste we create is increasing all the time.
The amount of rubbish we create is constantly increasing because:

Increasing wealth means that people are buying more products and ultimately creating more waste.

Increasing population means that there are more people on the planet to create waste.

New packaging and technological products are being developed, much of these products contain materials that are not biodegradable.

New lifestyle changes, such as eating fast food, means that we create additional waste that isn’t biodegradable.

Importance to people.

Recycling is essential to cities around the world and to the people living in them.

No space for waste. We should save our earth and environment by reducing the amount of wastes, plastic, paper, woods, etc. we should make the habit of reuse and recycle things (clothes, toys, furniture, books, papers, etc) in order to generate less waste. We should stop all the bad practices involved in increasing the level of pollution and global warming.

To contribute to the cause of environmental protection, you don’t have to donate tons of money, join any kind of movement, or publicly protest against environmental pollution.
There are different kinds of environmental pollution: air pollution, water pollution, land pollution. Sadly, not all human beings realize or admit that we are the ones who cause these problems and we should be the first to stop them and protect our environment. Because of the industrial revolution the air is polluted with awful chemicals; seas and oceans are poisoned with oil spills. Many rare species of flora and fauna are threatened with extinction.

We should be proud to live on our wonderful planet and understand that the consequences of pollution might be terrible and affect us and our children later. We should start recycling things made of glass, paper, plastic and aluminium. We should stop smoking and plant as many trees as we can because they can give us more oxygen. We need to drive less and use public transport in order to reduce fuel burning. We are responsible for the situation.

I think, Nowadays, the place we live is in great danger. There are a lot of things, which affect the Earth. Factories waste and exhaust gases, deforestation, poisoning of the air and water pollution, destruction of the ozone layer and global warming – these are the problems which a modern human should face.

Planet Earth is our home. We have been living here for many thousands of years, but even before us the history of the blue ball is very rich. Everyone year the planet suffers more and more from exhaust gases, from the construction of new planets, etc. Many people do not think that their usual actions lead to the extinction of many species of planets and animals. To preserve the environment, take measures: do not throw chemical waste. It is also worth not to exterminate animas for furs. Instead of animals. Thus, the conservation of nature must begin with oneself, because this will lead to harmony between man and his environment.

What's the environmental condition of Samara Region?

The region we live in - Samara, is best known as industrial region with many factories. As good, as it may sound, it really causes a lot of environmental problems, such as: forest wildfire, air and water pollution, and much more. But, regardless, I'm not the type of man, who could tell you about environmental influences from factories, so instead, I'll give you statistic from proffesionals, about environmental changes in Samara, that happened in the previous century. The process of leading industrial centers development in the second half of the XXth century has rather complex
and inconsistent character. These decades take an important place in the economic development of the considered regions. Statistical comparisons testify that for a long time the rates of their industrial growth
significantly advanced all-union ones, especially in the period of the VIII-X Five-Year-Plans (1966-1980).
Summary indicators of industrial production growth in Samara region and the Republic of Tatarstan for the
1960-1990s are significant; they are 703% and 671% respectively.
Prerequisites of huge industrial breakthrough during the considered period were established in the years of
Soviet industrialization, and they were strengthened by considerable structural changes during the military
period. In 1941-1945 in the Tatar Republic and Kuibyshev area there appeared a number of new industrial
branches some of which were based on more than 150 evacuated enterprises that determined the main directions
of further industrial development in Middle Volga region. Fast repurpose and adaptation of industrial production
to the conditions of the peace time accompanied with restoration, reconstruction of old and construction of new
industrial enterprises become the most important task of post-war economy recovery in the region.
Developed industrial basis with the subsequent attraction of large financial, material, human resources allowed
to create leading industrial centers of the Russian Federation in the second half of the XXth century. The
powerful production potential focused originally on the extraction and processing of natural resources promoted
the development and expansion of other industries. At the same time, during practical implementation of
economic plans at the specified period there were brought out some disadvantages of an economic mechanism
operating at that time, the inefficiency of the super-centralized economy. Objective economic and technical
evaluation did not dominate; departmental dissociation, failures in the implementation of planned decisions
involved their non-performance and falsification.

Always make sure to recycle your glass.
3. Re-Think Your Water Consumption🍼

Bottled water is handy when you’re on the go, but why not buy one bottle and then refill it from the tap or your work’s water cooler. Around 90% of water bottles end up decomposing in landfills rather than being recycled
4. Recycle Your Cell Phone📱

With the average consumer replacing their cell phones every eighteen months, 130 million cell phones are being disposed of each year. If these go into landfill sites, the toxins from the cell battery leak into the soil and pollute the ground. Use a recycling programme. An added bonus to this is many of these programmes contribute to charities.
5. Don’t Use Plastic Carrier Bags🛍️

Plastic carrier bags are not biodegradable, nor are they recyclable. They sit in landfills where they often end up polluting the ocean and infiltrating food sources. Use a stronger, reusable bag.
6. Use Rechargeable Batteries🔋

It’s no secret that the corrosive acid in throw away batteries is extremely damaging to soil when they end up in landfills. Although the recharging unit is initially an unexpected expense, long term, this will save you money. And you’ll never find yourself short of a battery when you need one!
7. Share The Knowledge ! 🗺️

Often, when people are damaging the environment, it is because they don’t have the facts, or haven’t considered a particular course of action. Share this list with your friends – if each of them takes on board just one point, the effect could be immense. And if they share it on too, think of the mass chain reaction. Let’s work together to make the world a better place.
My opinion: I believe, that people should rally to solve environmental problems. Only together can we make the world cleaner and better.

Global warming. Climate change around the world is caused by human activity: coal-fired power plants and factories, cars, agricultural enterprises annually emit almost 22 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and about half of them remain there. The result is a so-called greenhouse effect. According to the observations of scientists, the average air temperature since the beginning of the twentieth century increased by about 0.74°C[1]. Moreover, the increased growth begins after 1980, and each of the following decades becomes warmer than the previous one. For example, the temperature of permafrost soils in Western Siberia has increased by 1°C since the early 1970s, and by 3°C in Northern Alaska[2]. Global warming leads to melting glaciers, rising sea levels, increasing the frequency of floods, droughts and so on. According to forecasts, further deterioration of the situation may lead to a sharp jump in the climate and the onset of a new ice age.Forest cutting. Forests are natural sources of oxygen and help regulate temperature and rainfall. Unfortunately, predatory deforestation across the planet leads to serious climate disturbances. In addition, the forest is the habitat of many species of animals, most of which can not adapt to other conditions. Everyone knows the story of a funny Panda bear, which due to the cutting down of bamboo in China, its main food, was on the verge of extinction, and only thanks to huge efforts this process was stopped. The deforestation of the Amazon basin, which is called the "lungs of the planet", also leads to serious problems, not only regional ones. Even with controlled deforestation, carbon dioxide uptake will drop from 145 tons per hectare to 105-115 tons by 2050. And if logging becomes uncontrolled, this figure will fall to 64-74 tons per hectare[4]. This is not a complete list of the problems that humanity faces and will face in the future. We are threatened with overpopulation, pollution of water, soil and air, ocean oxidation, depletion of the subsoil — and all this because of our carelessness and confidence that nature will endure everything. What is humanity doing to preserve nature But is it really that bad? Is humanity not aware of the problem and does not try to take at least some steps to solve it? Of course he does. Of course he's trying. At the global level, there is even a UN environment programme — UNEP, established on the basis of a resolution of the UN General Assembly back in 1972. But, despite its existence, not all countries are aware of the need to actively protect the environment. And the less developed the country, the less attention it pays to this problem. Perhaps this is due to the low standard of living of the population, the raw material orientation of the economy, the lag in scientific and technical development. In Western countries, where the problem of hunger and poverty is no longer in the first place, there is an opportunity to seriously deal with environmental problems. And in States where people have the main task — to feed their children, poverty does not allow to carry out any serious environmental programs. One of the first, but very important steps in the conservation of wildlife can be a change in the usual way of life. Of course, it is difficult to imagine that a modern urban man suddenly left to protect the reserve in Siberia or plant forests in Kamchatka. Although, frankly, this also occurs. Help can be much easier-to join the supporters of the Fund. To do this, it is enough to make a donation on the website from 900 rubles per year. If this is too much for you, make a one-time donation via SMS of 500, 200 rubles — any money transferred to the WWF account will go to help the cause of wildlife conservation. The more supporters there are, the more large-scale projects the Fund will be able to implement!
In my opinion, in order to preserve nature, it is necessary to recycle garbage, use alternative energy sources, switch cars to electric engines and replace fuel.

It is not wise that such a number of production provokes the deterioration of the environmental situation in the city.
Samara region occupies a leading position among other regions of Russia in the spread of some infectious diseases caused by parasites, due to the presence of unsanitary conditions in Samara markets and the low sanitary culture of the population as a whole.
In addition, hot weather encourages people to swim in water that is not intended for such purposes.
In recent years, there has been a rapid increase in the incidence of tuberculosis and various respiratory diseases, as well as a significant increase in the formation of malignant tumors. Outbreaks of dysentery are occasional and are the result of poor drinking water consumption by the city 's population. Many factors of environmental disadvantage have a major impact on urban health.
The greening of the city and forest areas amount to about 3.5 meters square per resident. Such indicators do not meet the necessary standards. Average air pollution in Samara is 43% higher than the average for Russia.
The adequacy of water reserves in the Samara region is offset to a large extent by the problems of water supply to the population. These problems are based on the uneven distribution of water resources throughout the region, significant indicators of their temporal variability, as well as a high degree of water pollution.
Despite the fact that in environmental terms Samara and Samara region are among the most disadvantaged in the Russian Federation, the necessary measures are being taken to improve the environmental situation. It remains hoped they will bear fruit.

Environmental strategy.

In order to live in our common house, we must develop not only some general rules of conduct, if you like - rules of the hostel, but also a strategy of its development. The rules of the hostel are in most cases local. They are reduced most often to the development and introduction of low-waste industries, to the cleaning of the environment from pollution, that is, to the protection of Nature.

In order to meet these local requirements, there is no need for any super-large-scale activities: everything is solved by the culture of the population, technological and, mainly, environmental literacy and discipline of local officials.

But immediately we face more difficult situations when we have to think about the well-being not only of our own, but also of our distant neighbors. An example of this is a river crossing several areas. A lot of people are interested in its purity, and interested in very different ways. The inhabitants of the upper reaches are not very inclined to take care of the state of the river in its lower reaches. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal joint life of the population of the whole river basin, regulations are already required at the State and sometimes at the inter-State level.

The example with the river is also only a private case. After all, there are also problems of a planetary nature. They require a human strategy. There is little one culture and environmental education for its development. There is also little action by a competent (which is extremely rare) government. There is a need to create a human strategy. It should cover literally all aspects of people 's life. These are also new industrial technology systems that should be waste-free and resource-efficient. These are agricultural technologies as well. And not only better soil treatment and use of fertilizers. But, as the works of N. I. Babilov and other remarkable representatives of agronomic science and crop production show, here the main way of development is the use of plants with the greatest efficiency of solar energy use. That is, clean, non-polluting energy

Such a fundamental solution to agricultural problems is of particular importance, as they are directly related to a problem that I am convinced will inevitably have to be solved. This is about the size of the world 's population. Humanity is already faced with the need for strict regulation of fertility - in different parts of the Earth in different ways, but everywhere - restriction

In order for man to continue to fit into the natural cycles (round-robin) of the biosphere, the population of the planet, while maintaining modern needs, must be reduced once every ten. And that 's impossible! Regulation of population growth will certainly not lead to a tenfold reduction in the number of inhabitants of the planet. Therefore, along with smart demographic policy, it is necessary to create new biogeochemical cycles, that is, a new round-robin of substances, which will include primarily those species of plants that more effectively use clean solar energy, which does not cause environmental harm to the planet.

Solving problems of this magnitude is only available to humanity as a whole. This will require a change in the entire organization of the planetary community, in other words, a new civilization, a restructuring of the most important - those systems of values that have been approved for centuries.

The principle of the need to form a new civilization is declared by the International Green Cross, an organization whose establishment was proclaimed in 1993 in the Japanese city of Kyoto. The basic thesis - man must live in harmony with Nature.
(Жерновенкова Валерия)

A reusable accessory for going to the store is not only fashionable, but also practical. We all know that plastic bags are terrible. They decompose for hundreds of years, clog communications, kill river and sea inhabitants. The production of plastic bags takes 4% of all oil produced.

As for paper bags, they are not an alternative to plastic, since their production contributes to global warming and massive unauthorized deforestation. So, in America, about 14 million trees leave for 10 billion paper bags. The issue of safe disposal also remains: the packages are buried with other garbage, and the lack of oxygen prevents the material from decomposing. When processing a kilogram of paper, it takes up 91% more electricity than in the case of plastic.

What's environmental condition of Samara Region?

Today Samara region is one of the cities with the most polluted atmospheric air. Air pollution by suspended substances over the territory of the city is greater by 43% than the average in Russia, and the concentration of other harmful substances exceeds the maximum permissible norms by dozens of times. This is the fault of industrial enterprises, many of which do not have sufficiently effective treatment facilities, as well as vehicles. Dust, which oversaturated the air of the city, clogged into the lungs and can serve as a carrier of various viral infections. The main source of dust is bad roads and some industrial production.
However, uncontrolled discharge of industrial effluents significantly affects the water quality of Samara. This fact is confirmed by regular studies of water samples, which contain a large number of harmful elements: heavy metal compounds, organochlorine pesticides, phenols.

Special attention should be paid to the negative impact on the water environment of enterprises (about 40%), energy (about 26%), petrochemical and chemical industries (over 13%), as well as agriculture (up to 8%).

In the Samara region there are 136 small rivers, the ecological state of which is also a concern.(Березовский Артем)
