Hello Scholars! We have been investigating and paying careful attention to the sounds that frogs make. We have learned that frogs live near water and sometimes they live near ponds. When I was a young girl I would go to visit my grandparents in Oregon. My family would spend two weeks there each summer. They lived in the country, on a farm, and on their property was a large pond. At night, my cousins and I could hear the "ribbit" sound of frogs. In the morning, we would quickly pull on our rubber boots and walk down to the pond. We had lots of fun exploring in the muddy water as we looked for frogs. They were slippery and hard to catch. Finally, one of us would catch a frog and we'd all take turns holding it. Afterwards, we would release it back to it's home! Today we're going to review some of what we have been investigating this past month. We will listen to the different frog calls that frogs make and then determine which frogs sounds we hear. We'll also investigate the different habitats that each frogs prefers. Let's get started!
