Within the framework of an all-day school, there are various school sports teams, a choir, a school band, a drama group, our school paramedics and media scouts that give students for students workshops. As a "school without racism - school with courage" we are committed against discrimination and diverse projects are organised and implemented together with the pupils' representatives and the pupils' council.
In the natural sciences pupils successfully take part in the Jugend Forscht competition.
Our school attaches particular importance to a European orientation. For this reason we have had three Erasmus+ K2 projects and two Erasmus K1 projects so far which have been very enriching for our students and teachers. Furthermore our school organizes annual language trips and takes part in eTwinning projects, some of them being awarded with quality labels and awards.

Hi! I am an English teacher and also one of the members of the school board of "Escola Secundária de Caldas das Taipas", a secondary school with almost 1000 students and 150 teachers and other staff, located in the beautiful city of Guimarães, in the north of Portugal. I coordinate our Erasmus+ projects (we have 4 at present) and I am responsible for the communication strategy of the school as well (the website - that you can check in the link -, Gmail Suite and social media). I love my job and since persistence is my middle name, I never give up on my students or any other thing in life! 
Apart from work, I'm crazy about my family and also enjoy spending some quality time with my best friends. Besides reading foreign literature and watching horror series, what I like doing the most is travelling. I usually introduce myself saying that I am a teacher and a traveller as whenever I can, I get on a plane and fly to other parts of the world!
