Continental Drift is a posses that move and separate the continents which they used to come together into one whole continent billions of years ago. The continents move very slowly by plates called continental plates. Continental plates are like a conveyor belt when luggage is being carried but the continents move at different speeds and sometimes collide. The continents have bean moving for 4 billion years. Some continents' bedrock sinks below the beach and makes a visible curve under ground. They keep changing for thousands or billions of years and some scientists believe that the continents will change over time.
