For example, Chomsky mostly expresses negative results of technology, regarding the loss of cognition, damaging literacy and making people more lazy. He barely mentions any positive effects. This is because when he grew up, he was raised in a different context and with small prescence of technology, so he clearly is used to that. As he is very old and was born 1928, it was a completly different context back then. But, teenagers or young adults, people born nowadays are used to technology having a constant prescence in our lives and so we are used to it. This really made me wonder how far deep fakes go. Since we are in a century where technology is accessible for everyone, and people have gotten a bit too comfortable with it, we have become gullible to everything we see in the news/internet. And now with deep fakes, information is being manipulated in such a precise way that we can even see a video of a person saying things with their own voice, but in reality it's not them talking. There are small subtleties that show the difference between the real and the deep fakes, however, many people are not trained or are not aware of it. This leads to the spread of fake news, which can cause big problems. Your face,  body, and voice would be in motion/action without you actually doing it. This is what can happen with some videos or voicenotes you hear on the internet: you must check every angle, detail, and aspect of such in order to understand if it's real or not. This video uses the theme of a girl collecting all of the photos available of these artists and she's able to record herself with their faces. This is an actual example of a deep fake, since the girl used an algorithm that analysed their faces and was actually able to put such into hers. Although there are some ways in which we can adress the reliability, like looking at details such as the eyes, relfections, and edges of the face, machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence programmes are improving at a very large pace and will continue to do so. You can see a video of someone talking but it might actually not be them. Or an audio of someone with an identical voice, but it not truly being who you  think it is. How do you realize if its true of fake you ask? In a video you can pay attention to their eyes and hands, in audios you can pay attention to the way they speak and if they have weird accents or things you dont think they will say. They specified a lot more the solutions, such as instead of limiting all access of technology to all children, we should teach them how to manage their time. We can start this off with a conversation about managing skills along with a demonstration of the consequences. Then they can put a limit to their screen time, such as 1:30 hours per day and maybe prevent some apps that aren't appropriate for their age, not because of the content, but because of the phycological damage it can generate. Along with that I agree that adults should have some restrictions too. The object I chose is the air conditioner from my room. This air conditioner came with this house we are renting and Ive been with it for around 2 years. Technology has such a big role in our lives that its become one of our 6 senses that we use to percive the world. Its crucial for us to have, and when its gone we feel anxious and contantly worried. For example, an experiment was made where they removed technology from a few kids in colledge and they noticed that with no technology we depend more on food. We constantly search for other escapes from reality that provide us with the dopamine levels that technology gives. When we put on glasses, we see better and different to the way in which we saw before we had the glasses on. The same thing happens with technology, as it changes the way we access the world. Instead of allowing us to see clearer and not blurry, as it happens with glasses, technology gives us a deeper and faster access to the world around us, but many times it can make us confuse even more.
