I believe that I could be more kind by reaching out to people more often. By doing so, people who are afraid to make friends wouldn't have to struggle. I also think I should get to know people before I judge them. In life, everybody you meet will be different. I think if I accept people for who they are, what they like, and overall what they choose to be, I will find myself a lot happier. Like I said before, everyone is different and is interested in different activities. If people did less judging and more accepting, I believe the world would be a better place where we could all feel loved and accepted.

There are many ways to just be kind and friendly to those around us. Everyone looks and act different so it is silly to judge another by one of these qualitites. Some ways that I think I could be more kind, respectful, and friendly to those around me are: help another student with homework because they deserve the help with education as I do, help someone clean or pick up something they may have dropped because they may need the help in order to get to class on time, and I could join people in on group projects and other group work we do in school, because they may need the help but don't ask and it's important to involve all who are around us.

Being kind is an act of love. It is truly so easy but can impact someone so much. There is always room for kindness, it comes in multiple forms such as a smile or a compliment. It takes about five seconds to say to someone "I like your shoes" or "you look pretty today" but it can make someone's day. It also boosts your mood, spreading kindness and making a positive impact feels good. Mostly, people migrated moved to America because they were told that America was the land of the free and that everyone was accepted. We need to live up to this... race, sexuality, gender, and looks don't matter. We just need to make everyone feel accepted.

There are many ways to help out a friend, classmate, community member, etc. But there is also still people that will stop and change their mind about helping someone because they are of a different race or color. This should not be happening and does not help in the long run. Just because someone may be different than you you should still treat them as if they are your role model and not treat them any different than anyone. People do not pick how they look so it is not okay that we are treating/judging them by the way they look they should not be treated any different than your very best friend.

I believe that we all have the potential to be more kind to others, because there is no real amount or limit on how kind you can be. Life as we know it is filled with hate, dread, tears, and not everyone being the same. If we are not all the same then why do others get picked on for being different? You can be more kind by accepting the fact that not everyone is the same; such as not having the same life story, home conditions, origin and looks. We are not defined by our looks but rather our personality. You can find yourself living a life of happiness from just inviting someone to sit by you, helping them out if they drop something, or if they cannot figure something out. Just think of how you would want to be treated, because when treated poorly it can make someone feel terrible inside. We all deserve something better than what our society has created today, but rather than blaming society... notice we are society and we can make the change. So now let's all look past the differences and look at what we have in common because we all have a chance at being treated equally and being happier.

Although, when it comes to the color of people's skin or the way certain people some tend to change their perspective. Even though they aren't the same as you, you should have patience. This is especially important if this person is making a new adjustment to a school or lifestyle. If everyone could look beyond skin color or the differences between each other it would be so much easier to spread kindness and bring people up instead of bring them down.

Kindness can be as simple as telling someone that you like their outfit, or helping someone pick up something if they drop it. Kindness is realizing that everyone is different in their own kind of way, and accepting the fact that not everyone is the same as yourself. People always say "treat others how you want to be treated" but not everyone follows that rule. People should think before they speak, and they shouldn't say anything that they know could hurt others. Being kind is not that hard, but a lot of people struggle with it for some reason. If they knew that they were hurting the other persons feelings, and stepped into their shoes, then they could realize that they were hurting them. Everyone should look beyond skin color, or any reason for bullying someone, and be kind.

My Thoughts on Kindness

Over the past few years I started wondering what it is that causes someone to be a target for others. I came to the conclusion that it isn't anything specific because that ''deciding'' factor varies. It could be religion, physical looks, personality, size, or maybe nothing at all. However, I don't think it matters why people are getting picked on because the solution to every one of those problems is the same. I believe that the answer to stopping bullying is to simply be kind. Personally, I know how it feels to be made fun of because of my religion. Honestly, when it happened I just told myself to ignore it because it wasn't worth my time. But then it didn't stop, and those awful words made me start thinking. It made me question my worth. It made me feel ashamed of who I was. I think that those feelings I felt should be feelings that no one, no matter what skin color you have, should ever feel. Even the simplest things like giving out compliments, hugs, opening the door, etc., made me feel better of myself in those dark times. I also think that standing up for others and having an open mind are huge assets to being kind. When the bullying got to the point where it distracted me from my education, Reece stepped in and she stood up for me. (Reece if you're reading this I can't thank you enough) What she did for me made me feel as if I mattered to the world. It made me believe in myself, and it made me stronger. Being kind is so much easier than being mean. It takes so much energy to be mad or mean to someone. So why waste your energy on hatred? Being nice to others is so effortless, that sometimes you don't even know you are doing it. Reading about Carlotta and learning about everything that I have been has really opened up my eyes. Everyone in this world is different. Instead of judging each other, people need to start loving one another. If you are kind to someone else it'll make them want to be kind as well. That's what I call the Dominoes Effect of Kindness.

Being kind does not have to be a big gesture, it can just be something small. The little things are what matter the most. Just complimenting people everyday or just smiling and saying hi to someone can mean everything to someone. You could make someone's day just by being kind to them. When being kind to someone, it makes you happy and the person you are being kind to also happy.

Being kind is important. People are very good at hiding their feelings and not wanting others to see how the feel. You never can truly see what someone is going through by just looking at them. Saying one kind sentence could be the highlight of someones day. Being kind is also simple tasks like carrying someones groceries or holding the door open. Their appearance, religion, race, or gender shouldn't matter to how you act towards them. Acts of kindness can start with just a simple hello and asking some one about their day or a compliment. When you see some one all alone go talk to them or invite them to come by you and your friends. Treat others how you want to be treated. Remember the next time you are about to say some thing that might affend some one think, "Would I want some one to say this to me?", and if the answer is no then you probably shouldn't say it. Kindness is a super power that everyone has in side of them, they just need to learn how to find it and use it to help others and themselves.

Being kind doesn't always have to be something big. Kindness comes in all different shapes and sizes. Sometimes being kind can show in different ways. I believe that kindness is more than just being nice. I feel that it's the way that one takes the act is different. I can pick up a pencil for someone and it's never really acknowledged. It's just something nice to do for someone. Yet. being kind doesn't necessarily mean that you have to do something that's jaw dropping. Little things can matter a lot too. Which brings me back to it's the way one takes what you did. Some people don't get treated the best and a simple compliment can make one's day. I can be kind and lend someone a pencil. Let's say Cass needs a pencil, and I, being kind, give him one. He's going to use it and not think of it as anything important. Yet for others that may struggle getting a pencil, think of it as a very generous thing to do. You don't know what that person is going through so they may takes things differently. I can give a gift to a loved one and they'll be grateful. If I were to give a gift to a homeless person it's different. People go through different things and sometimes it's when no ones looking, things matter. Being kind doesn't have to be something big or small. Random things that you do daily can be kind. No matter who the person is, you should always be kind. There's times where people can get on your nerves and you may be upset. You can explode and be upset at that person. Yet, if you both were to just be kind there wouldn't be problems. If Cass were to be upset because I took the last pack of Ramen, he could just ask me kindly, "Aye let's split the Ramen." If I were to be kin, I would split it in half. If the world were to be a little kinder, I think we could have chance at peace. The ways that I could be kinder are just being nice to people around me. Everyone is different and deserves to be treated with the same kindness. There's too much judgement and criticism in the world. I started to notice that people feel insecure. If judgement weren't a big thing in society, then people wouldn't have to feel that way. I feel that everyone is special in their own unique way. Even if you think this and that, you're worth every bit. You should just accept yourself for who you are. Being kind can be you accepting yourself and everyone else around you. Sometimes all people want is to be accepted. All Carlotta wanted was to be accepted by the whites. Yet the judgement in society is so big and impacts others in a negative way. We're so quick to look at someone just by their looks. We should be more patient and see what their personality. People miss opportunities because we don't have the patience to see their personality. I don't exactly know where I'm going wit this so I'm going to end it here. Kindness is more than just being nice to someone. Kindness can also impact people in different ways. Everyone should learn to accept others and not judge based on how another looks, acts, or thinks. Kindness is a big part to impacting others lives and changing the world.
