Video # 1
Darwin Theory on life

The first video starts of with Charles Darwin theory on the origins of life, He claims that all biological creatures that are here now came from a single creature that evolved over time and became the creatures we know today. Four different way he thought natural selection would affect the traits of an individual.

1. Individuals within a population differ.

2. The difference are, at least in part, passed from parents to offspring.

3. Some individuals are more successful at surviving and reproducing than other.

4. The successful individuals succeed because of variant traits they have inherited and will pass onto their offspring.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnktXHBvE8s The red flag I choose was all-natural, I believe this to be all natural because if there was only one type of species living on earth at the time and then it evolved into different species that would make it all natural since it coming from the primary source.

Video #2
Gods Creation Of Life Theory

Video #2

The second video discusses how in the bible (The Book of Genesis) that god created the earth within 7 day and separated the darkness from the light; the video continues to talk about what God did in those 7 days of creation.

The red flags I choose for this video was Unexplained and Ancient Wisdom. These two red flags are perfect for this discussion because (Unexplained) we literally do not know if there is a creator of the universe, and who is to say that a God created the Earth and universe, it could be like how Charles Darwin said it to be. Were all created from a primary source and that source it is the one or God.

Ancient Wisdom is also a big factor because I believe that when people started to become conscious of their own action, when there was way too much bloodshed, people decided that a god or creator would be relevant because they could use the bible as a system of control where they could have people doing their will because “God demands it’’.

Video #3
Panspermia Theory
For my last video, I choose the Panspermia theory, the definition of panspermia means seeds everywhere. Panspermia is the theory that the origins of life started from one source of life in space and was somehow able to make its way to earth. Biophysicist Francis Crick was known for his studies in DNA structure also hypnotized that there must be a civilization far on the galaxy that their society was going to end, so they persevered there lives by send there DNA structure throughout the universe.

The belief I picked for this video is Ideology. I picked this instead of unexplained because scientist, biophysics, biologists and geneticist thought of this theory, these people do not have solid evidence to claim that people came from space since we are all created from “star stuff” it would go to say that our DNA is everywhere.

I picked appeal to authority for my red flag; I picked this because people believe in the big bang theory. Where life started out with a big explosion at one spot and when the explosion happened it sent out particles in every direction in space and when everything started to slow down, life started to grow, I find this connects with the panspermia theory for the reason that they both have ab origin and that is the beginning.

The Primordial Soup Theory
The summary on this website on the primordial soup theory is based on the idea that the origins of life was a coincidence, like a lightning bolt striking the ground, we are all just a random accident that occurred thousands and thousands of years ago.

I find this theory to be far-fetched and plausible at the same time because when the big bang happened, it scattered the building blocks for life all across the universe, particles than came into our atmosphere, which eventually gave us life.

The red flag I used for this website was proof by verbosity; I choose this because I feel that this theory was used to replace Charles Darwin’s theory on natural selection, but just added something more profound and unknown

https://www.quantamagazine.org/20140122-a-new-physics-theory-of-life/

Nick Bostroms theory

Nick Bostrom starts his argument by stating that one of the three argument that he present is true:

The human species is very likely to go extinct before reaching a “posthuman’’ stage.

Any posthuman civilization is extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history or variations of it.

We are almost certainly living in a computer simulation.

It follows that the belief that there is a significant chance that we will one day become posthiman who run ancestor-simulation is false, unless we are currently living in a simulation.

I find nick Bostroms argument of on the computer simulation to be a huge controversy that we would run ancestor simulations to find out our past because there is no way of turning back the clock to find out what we did in the past. Unless their was some way to change our quantum universe into something that mirror our reality but in a different time stretch since future present and past are all the same but are interpreted to be a separate space. Even if it were possible to look back into our past simulation, why would we want to do so, we would not be able to change of current predicament and would leave us with more question than answers.

The red flag I used for Nick bostrom’s theory was unexplained because this was a theory like Alberts Einstein’s theory on relativity none of these can be proven true since we do not have the current technology to find out the answers that we seek and may never be found.

.simulation-argument.com/simulation.pdf

The Matrix theory
The matrix theory

The matrix theory very similar to Nick Bostroms theory on the simulation theory.

The movie the matrix is a good comparison to the simulation theory, the matrix theory is that we all connected inside of a computer simulation and that are brains are hooked up onto a super smart computer that can interpret our reality into a time frame that lets us act out our lives, almost like sim game. Where we are the people being controlled without our knowledge and we do thing that we might think is our own action but is actually being monitored and controlled by a separate entity.

When playing a game there are players that inherit the characters persona that are made and they act out there story that was created, there are also cpu(central processing unit) which act as if they are real character, so when reviewing the matrix theory how are we to determine if that person is a cpu or a player?

The belief I picked for this theory is patternicity I picked this because when viewing a picture on a computer and you start to zoom in on it, you will find that the image starts to become pixelated, this is the same with our reality. If we were to look at an object with a super powerful microscope, you will see that the image starts to become pixelated just like when you look at a picture on the computer.

When I made the connect I thought to myself that this makes sense and if that part was true what else about these other theory could also be true.

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/oct/11/simulated-world-elon-musk-the-matrix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKrj2sGk7IY

Hand of God

Touching The Hand of God
My first picture, Touching The Hang of God, depicts the eternal struggle of man trying to know god. men and women of religion have always gone to the extremes to try and understand , know and even maybe see God, people have slaughtered millions for the name of god and yet we have seen him floating in the skies or do anything miraculous, we do not have any evidence of his existence, but keep in mind I am always open to the possibility of a greater force that none of us can comprehend. A belief structure around slaughtering, oppression, hopelessness meant to hold us down and restrict us to limitation.

The belief I choose for this image is ideology, I choose this because Christianity is base upon order. Order is what keeps us in our place and with thing like the bible and preachers it forces and subjugates individuals to conform .people are force to follow the rules and if broken, the result can be harsh.

A single person who went on his own path, which lead him to enlightenment and the other people saw this person who was enlightened and wanted to be like him. They followed in pursuit of his goals, not realizing that they have not fulfilled there own goals, which prevent them from this enlightenment.

The red flag I choose for this image was appeal to authorities. I picked this because who is to say the this glowing person who rests upon the rocks is any more enlightened or knowledgeable then any other person, just for the reason he has a crowd around him and might have a bit more wisdom then this people does not make him enlightened

Conclusion-Reflection

1. The most interesting part of this assignment was learning about Charles Darwin natural selection theory. It was fascinating that he just look at one simple thing and it expanded into other territories, like how he noticed the difference in the breed of birds that live in different had various genetic changes in there appearance.

2. This topic might not be relevant, but it is very interesting to ponder our existence and our purpose in life.

3. The most interesting part of this research was learning about the panspermia theory, it is a wild theory that our existence came from a single source that seeded its way towards Earth which gave us life.\

4. What I will mostly remember from this assignment is the matrix theory, this theory is so far fetched and wild that it is impossible to believe but some how people believe it to be so.
