Depending on where the pharmacist practices or what they do will determine the time they must clock in for work. They'll begin by reviewing over the previous days' patients, and then prepare for the ones they're expecting for that day. Pharmacists must be knowledgable on the purpose, hazards, instructions, and side effects of the medications their patients take. In the duration of World War II, he collaborated with John Earl in the preparation of the antiseptic proflavine. Additionally, Albert developed the antimalarial drug mepacrine (Atebrin) and improved the antiseptic aminacrine (Monacrine). During his medical discoveries, he developed the selective toxicity theory to explain how chemical substances can affect certain cells without harming others. The basics include geometry, trigonometry, algebra and calculus, plus science classes in biology, chemistry and physics.

Undergraduate Study:
Minimum of 2-4 years of undergraduate school. You need to enroll in physics, chemistry, organic chemistry and biology. No particular major is required, but a bachelor's degree can be a great advantage.

Additional Requirements:
Many pharmacy schools (about 75%) require a Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT). Also, pharmacists must earn a PharmD degree from a college or university approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Before starting practice, pharmacists are required to obtain a state license for practical work.
