Hello, my name is Ng Wen Jin, my card matric number is H19A0349 from FHPK (SAP). I live in Alor Setar, Kedah. Now I am the third year in University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK).

The thing I want to learn for the next three months to advance my career opportunities/business is problem solving. This is because the ability to think on your feet and come up with feasible solutions to problems is one of the most sought-after soft skills in the hospitality and tourist industries, and it is certainly a key factor in professional success. Whatever area you work in, you'll need to learn how to deal with a crisis, from identifying the problem to evaluating how well you handled it and what you should do differently next time. Problem-solving skills, for example, are valued by employers because they reflect a number of other attributes such as logic, creativity, resilience, ingenuity, lateral thinking, and determination. It's a valuable skill to have in both your professional and personal life.

What were some of the most significant things you learned about self-awareness in this class? Write your thoughts in 100 words in your digital journal.

As my first year of graduate school ended, I became intensely aware of my own self-awareness. I spent some time assessing my strengths and limits, but it wasn't until I spent time traveling through my emotions and the events that surrounding them that I realized what self-awareness really meant. Recognizing when and why I was frightened or disturbed provided me more confidence in my capacity to deal with these strong emotions using healthy coping methods. The first step as a teacher or parent is to emphasize the importance of admitting our feelings.

the name of video:

Reading minds through body language

name of the speaker:

Lynne Franklin

link of the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3P3rT0j2gQ

Speaker's experience/qualifications:

Lynne is a member of the National Speakers Association and the Illinois chapter's President-elect. She became a neuroscience nerd, studying how the brain works and how to develop interpersonal relationships. She has since worked with firms to improve their performance, productivity, and profit through persuasive communication, and she has written a book called Getting Others to Do What You Want based on her personal study.

One (1) paragraph describing the video content (what it was about, who was it targeted etc.):

Lynne Franklin tells us how to deal with three different types of people by understanding how their bodies convey in this video. the video make us most concise and easy to follow talks on body language and interpreting personality types I’ve ever watched, read, or heard. It is useful to recognize this if you are trying to motivate others or get them to work on the same team. besides, body language provides a great deal of information on what other people are thinking. One could learn plenty of things from her, the strength she had and how she gave live examples.

One (1) paragraph personal reaction to the video (was it valuable to you? Which part of his/her talk do you remember the best? How that affect you?):

Keeping eye contact during discussions was always unpleasant for me, so I assumed something was wrong with me. Now I know I'm a good listener, and I'm aware of the reasons for the minor arguments I have on a regular basis. the use of real people as example helps to understand things easily. And from the start of the video it's very clear that understanding body language is not only about judging people on the basis of how they are reacting but it's about understanding how their brain works.
