What is anger, what is it that you're feeling? according to Charles Spielberger a psychologist who studies anger says, "An emotional state that varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage". Anger is a normal humane emotion to express. Though, if it's not controlled it can lead to many more problems and a downfall, so why do you get easier and more angrier than others? It could be that you don't express the state you're in. It's fury that's built in, you could try talking to a therapist or with a friend. People who are easily angered have low intolerance which is the reason someone could be easily subjected to annoyance or frustration. Anger is often seen as expressing depression or anxiety, but it's an emotional state, it's a natural response which is why it's important to build skills on emotional communications and emotional control. What is Emotion control? according to the UMD Health services, " The ability to manage emotions to achieve goals, complete tasks, or control and direct behavior". Anger is in fact an emotion too! Learning to control your emotions is by accomplishing to stay calm during small problems and to learn how to react to them with control of that situation and yourself. You must have the right amount of emotional reaction. What are emotional reactions? It's expressing yourself in a healthy and right way. We must learn our triggers and learn to develop the expertise of responding well when reacting to any scenario you find yourself in. Which is why it's important to have HEALTHY RESPONSES, it's normal to be in a state of defense, during a heated discussion though it's important to not lash out and control any compulsiveness. Stop and think every time you think of a negative response to say back. Words you respond back can lead to a much worse downfall for you. Instead listen and think carefully before saying anything during an argument, keep your cool and breathe. To learn these skills you must identify triggers and try to reduce them. Always put yourself around positive people and be positive, you must also practice mindfulness. Learning and having the power to control your emotions can put you in a healthier spot and build self-confidence.
