<title>Mr Wilson fits into the setting, hes obviously depressed with his life and his wife almost represents his financial state because his hard work is worth nothing towards his job and towards his wife. Myrtle doesnt fit in, she is tacky and cheap but strives for somthing more than the valley of ashes, she strives for money and youth not a place of poverty and stuff.</title>

<title>Tom is very abusive to Myrtle and Daisy as implied in Chapter 1 when daisy says he hurt her knuckles. Tom smacks Myrtles nose so hard it breaks and bleeds everywhere, the party disperses very fast. Tom has fragile masculinity, hes controlling and likes to feel dominant over other people probably because he is scared of loosing his position of power.</title>

His life is full of depression and pale. All of the evidence above can see that Mr Wilson belongs to the lower class which fit into the setting. However, Myrtle is not fit into the setting, she is a middle thirty woman and the way she dressing is differ with Mr Wilson and her beautifulness enable people to feel vital immediately. It can be infer that the reason why she cheat on Mr Wilson is she thinks she does not fit into such a lower class and she deserve better life.</title>

<title>It is clear in their descriptions and engagements throughout the book so far that they do not fit in together, but do in the setting of the book. Myrtle is a high class woman, in her eyes, and sees Wilson as far below her, as he works hard, lives a plain and boring life, and just gets on with what he has.</title>

<title>It is in the middle of West Egg and New York. It is a place where &quot;where ashes take the forms of houses and chimneys and rising smoke and, finally, with a transcendent effort, of men who move dimly and already crumbling through the powdery air.&quot; It represents the poor side of life, where all the trash and waste there, is all dumped by those in the wealthy community.</title>
