There is no limit to the rolls of teachers as it is a multifaceted profession. I believe a teachers role is to also build relationships with the children, become a role model, as well as build a welcoming environment for the students. A few other roles a teacher must play are a mentor, support system, a helping hand and also a learner. Teachers are mentors because students often times students look up to them and the students may pattern their behavior. Teachers need to be there to support the children and be a helping hand when children are learning new information because they will need the help. By doing these things you will establish the best relationship with your students. I believe the most effective methods of teaching are student centered activities and discussions.
