A hard worker knows about discipline and dedication. He has the determination to achieve anything despite obstacles encountered.

Francesca : I feel like hard-work always pay even if it is not right away. Sometimes I Work on something and two or three months later I get to use that knowledge. It clearly is a quality to be a good leader to me.

In a project, planning is the key to manage time and efficiency. The leader must know the qualities of all team members and assign them to a task they are willing to do.

During our actual project, we firstly ask everyone what is its best qualities before distribute the work.

Leaders have to take in account all points of view in order to make a good decision. If they are not able to listen to others and study their opinions, their decisions won’t be accepted by all.

Geology is a complex subject because it requires to take into account a lot of different factors. By essence the leader is the one we follow and listen to. He has to have an aura that makes you want to trust that his ideas and thoughts are good. Sometimes, just seeing someone be sure about his opinion his enough to agree with him.

Something that we've learned during all our school projects is that nothing goes as expected and sometimes, huge unexpected problems can appear. In those situations, you have to not drop the project and persevere.

Tugdual : I often do programing as a hobby, and fore sure if you are not persevering you won't succeed in that path. We don’t always choose with whom we’re working. The team can be composed of very different personalities that may not be compatible. The role of the team leader is to make sure everyone gets along well. So he must keep his composure. 
One thing to do before working with others is the mbti test.
It allows to understand better who you are and how people interact. Sometimes, conflict is just a matter of interpretation !

What makes a great leader is the capacity to make different people want to atteign the same goal. Be inspiring is one of the most important characteristic that a leader must have.

Tugdual : Someone that inspire me is Napoleon. He owes his great notoriety to his military skill, rewarded by many victories, and to his astonishing political trajectory. By definition, the team leader is the one responsible if anything goes wrong. Event though it is not his fault, if one member of the team makes a mistake, he will have to be accountable for its actions. So being a leader must include a great sense of responsibility.

Tugdual : "Once one of my scout lost the bucket we used to drink from a  well. So we couldn’t collect water anymore. As the chief of boyscout, I had to find a solution to remplace the bucket."
Francesca : "I'm the Vice President of an association, and once we almost had a big penalty because of an administrative fault made by one of the member. The president and I were supposed to pay for it. Finally, everything went well !
