         <description><![CDATA[<div>By creating a mysterious mood through word choice and figurative language, the author is able to build suspense and keep the reader invested in the story.<br><br>Jack's assertion here clearly connects the demise of the conch to a change in the social order.<br><br>This quote shows how the horse strongly dislikes the bit and bridle, and how the author uses strong imagery and negative connotations in the description to develop these feelings.<br><br>In just a few words, she assumes the role of a teacher instead of a mother substitute.</div>]]></description>
