Reflect:God’s rule today is more based on belief than science. Christians must trust and have faith in the Lord, since there are no facts to back up the Bible or any of the stories in it. His rule is based on belief and is still one of the biggest religions across the world. This shows that the Bible and the Lord himself are enough for some people.

Response: Dear God, I pray you help give me the wisdom and help me to exercise godly dominion over creation.

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. - Psalm 14:1 in the first verse it shows us that the people are corrupt and angered. David is looking at humanity and writing from Gods perspective not seeing anyone as righteous. The people have to say that there is no God to be corrupt, then their state of mind changes.
I would agree with this psalm because we are all corrupt and sinners in our own way. No ones perfect and everyone does bad things that should get us punished. There are more and more evil people coming around, especially not believing in God.

This shows our inherent nature of wishing the downfall of our peers. This is why Jesus died for all the horrible people who hated him, but he gave his life to evil people. Though they are good people and do the right things, we don't necessarily want to see them winning, which is why a righteous person is more appealing. The loyalty and respect that comes with a righteous person doesn’t mean they’ll always do good or the right thing, but their faith and loyalty to whomever makes them righteous.
Respond: Dear Lord, I pray that you make me more of a righteous and faithful person, one who sticks to their ideas.

Which of these marks would you like to grow in?
Reflect: The mark that stood out to me the most was to never be wise in your own sight. To realize that we don’t know as much as we think we do. We try to lead our own lives but we need to follow what God has pathed for us. The radical mark to me was to bless those who persecute you. It sounds contradictory to bless someone who persecutes you, but this is what a true Christian does. To trust that God will give everyone what they need is to fully believe in his power and not doubt him.
Respond: Dear Lord I pray that you help me do good to those who hate me even though it sounds wrong. Please help me to show brotherly love to those who deserve it.

A lot of events in the Bible happen that can’t be explained by science or reasoning, instead, it can only be explained by the power of God.
