Alexandrite can be found commonly in the south in locations such as Brazil, Sri Lanka and East Africa but it was originally found in Russia. A high quality Alexandrite can be around $50,000-$70,000 per carat. Alexandrite is an incredible and really rare phenomenon. Magma penetrates through many layers of Earth which are made of chromium and water stone formations which get mixed with the magma. These materials are so hard when formed that the Real Alexandrite is 8.5 on Moh’s hardness scale (which is an official hardness measure) so it’s one of the hardest gems in the world.

As we mentioned before Alexandrite was found in Russia but it was found by accident in an emerald mine. The Russians mistaken it for an emerald but they realized the Alexandrite.

Topaz is surprisingly hard standing at an 8 on the mohs scale. (hardness scale). The biggest topaz gemstone right now was found in Brazil, 1884 weighing an estimated 31000 carats and 37 kg.

It is said to soothe, heal, re-motivate, and bring the wearer strength, loyalty, beauty, protection, healing, weight loss, joy, and generosity.
