I think its crazy that they had a 'bum brigade' to keep the migrants out of California cities. I like how it references the grapes of wrath (which I'm probably going to watch for points) when its talking about how desperate people were for jobs. It makes me sad, the horrible quality of life that they had to live in, that they would work for mere biscuits. I also think its sad that people who were farmers their whole lives had to give up farming because their land back home became un-livable. The mere idea of Black Sunday terrifies me. I am scared of the dark so the idea of a giant cloud of dust freaks me out. Its like a nightmare you can't wake up from.

I'm so happy to be away from the dust and darkness. I miss home though. I'm currently trying to find a job. Many of my friends work picking cotton, I am going to try to get a job there tomorrow. Stocks reach high values at different times depending on the country. The worst crash was in the 1930s, we lost millions.

The bright lights in the stadiums brought people from far and wide to watch. Baseball and Boxing were the biggest sports. African Americans and Women started to show in major sports such as basketball and track. Movies were also important. Without movies and sports moral would have been lower than it already was. They kept life bearable in the dark and damp 1930’s and provided a short lapse from work. Movies in the 30's were an escape from the terrifying reality that we lived in. Movies upheld the typical american values to show that they are not beyond reach. Family and love were common themes of movies in the 30's.
