         <description><![CDATA[<p>The work of the abolitionists was completed when slavery was officially abolished in the United States. This happened with the passage of the 13th Amendment in 1865. They fought hard to end this injustice.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I believe that the abolitionists work was done in the mid to late 1800's and was finally completed when slavery was "abolished". They do still have lots of work to do, due to prejudices and racial segregation in the American society.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think that work still has to be done. Slavery is gone, but the prejudice and racism black people experience still occurs. They still need to fight for justice against oppression and make their voices heard today.</p>]]></description>
