Hello, I'm Baek Geon-hu, and I'm here to present about Korea's cultural heritage. First, cultural heritage is divided into intangible and tangible cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritages include Samulnori and Ganggangsullae, and tangible cultural heritages include Dolmen and Gyeongbokgung Palace. Samulnori is music played with four instruments: gong, janggu, kkwaenggwari, and drum. Then, Ganggangsullae is a folk game that has been handed down from the southwestern part of South Jeolla Province. Ganggangsullae is a game in which people hold hands and go around in a circle side by side. Dolmen are tombs that were mainly used in the prehistoric era, and they are structured to form a tomb room by making supports from small stones under a large canopy. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the most important palace that represents the Joseon Dynasty. Thank you for listening to the announcement of Group 5

Hi everyone!

Today, I'll introduce about a cultural habit in Korea — taking off your shoes before entering the house.

In Korea, it’s common to take off your shoes before going into someone’s home.

This tradition has a long history and is still important in daily life.

First, it’s about cleanliness.

Shoes can bring in dust, mud, and germs from outside.

Since many people in Korea sit or lie down on the floor, keeping it clean is very important.

Second, this habit helps to create a clear boundary between the outside and the inside.

In Korean culture, the home is considered a peaceful and private place, separate from the busy and sometimes chaotic outside world.

Taking off shoes marks the transition into a calm, personal space where you can relax.

Third, it’s a sign of respect.

It shows that you appreciate the homeowner’s space and want to keep it clean. This polite act reflects kindness and helps build good relationships in Korean culture.

This habit started long ago in traditional Korean homes with ondol, or floor heating.

Since people sat, ate, and slept on the floor, it was necessary to keep it very clean.

Even today, most modern homes in Korea follow this custom.

Many houses have an entrance area called “hyeon-gwan”, where people take off and store their shoes.

So, this simple act is not just about hygiene — it also reflects culture, respect, and tradition.

Thank you for listening to my presentation!

(영) Hello. I'm Park Bom, who will introduce Korea's landmarks.

First, let's find out what R-End-Mark means. The meaning of a landmark is a famous place or building that symbolizes an area or serves as a standard for finding a way. Shall we find out about Korean landmarks?

The first is Gyeongbokgung Palace, the representative palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Gyeongbokgung Palace is in Seoul, Korea, and was built by King Taejo Lee Seong-gye in 1395. Gyeongbokgung means to honor the great blessings. Gyeongbokgung Palace was burned to ashes in 1592 during the Japanese invasion of Korea and rebuilt by Heungseon Daewongun, King Gojong's father, in 1867.

The second is Lotte Tower, the tallest building in Korea. Lotte Tower is also located in Seoul, Korea. Lotte Tower is 555.65 meters tall and has up to 123 floors. Lotte Tower is said to have created an elegant shape with the curves of traditional Korean ceramics and brushes. There is an observation deck on the 117th to 123rd floors, providing a view of the sea off Incheon.

Lastly, let's learn about Hallasan Mountain, the highest mountain in Korea. Hallasan Mountain is a volcano located in Jeju Island, Korea, at an altitude of 1,947.06 m. Hallasan Mountain is a valuable asset of Korea, with its natural beauty, ecological value, and culture. And Hallasan Mountain was designated as Natural Monument No. 192 in 1966 and was listed on UNESCO's list.

Other Korean landmarks include Seokguram Rock, Han River, Bulguksa Temple, and Cheonggyecheon Stream. If you visit South Korea next time, I hope you visit these places at least once. That's it.

Hello everyone,

Today, I’d like to talk about traditional Korean food — a delicious and meaningful part of Korean culture.

Korean cuisine is known for its balance of flavors, use of fresh ingredients, and healthy fermentation methods. It’s not just about taste; it’s about harmony, tradition, and community. Most Korean meals are centered around rice, vegetables, and various side dishes called banchan, with kimchi being the most iconic one.

Fermented foods play a big role in Korean cooking. Kimchi, for example, is a spicy, tangy dish made from fermented cabbage and radish. It’s not only flavorful but also very healthy.

Let me introduce a few popular traditional dishes:

Bibimbap is a mixed rice dish with vegetables, meat, egg, and spicy chili paste.

Bulgogi is marinated beef that’s grilled or stir-fried — sweet, savory, and very tender.

Japchae is stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables and sometimes meat.

Samgyetang is a warm chicken soup with ginseng, especially enjoyed in the summer for energy.

Korean food is also about sharing. Meals are eaten together, and food is often served in the middle of the table for everyone. It brings people closer, especially during holidays and family events.

In conclusion, traditional Korean cuisine is a mix of flavor, health, and culture. As more people around the world discover Korean food, it continues to grow in popularity for its taste and values.

Thank you!
