I think technology should not be used in place of 'activities' in which human connection or establishing a trusting relationship plays a vital role in achieving the activities goals. Time and costs should not be valued over individual people.

I believe once people leave prison, they should have the ability to move on with their lives, without concern for their privacy. I believe this should be the case, particularly for people who committed a non-violent crime, or had issues such as drug abuse or mental illness that contributed to their offending. THey should be able to seek assistance in privacy. However, I do see the possible advantage of electronic monitoring for particularly violent offenders, in which have little likelihood of rehabilitation. It could also allow prisoners to have a form of independence. However, outside of prison technology such as ankle bracelets may cause further issues for prisoners. It may cause offenders to feel as if they have little control over their lives outside of prison.
