One thing that I noticed often was how many families were deeply affected by the Great Depression and how hard of a time the Great Depression was in America. I predict the book will be about a family living through the struggles of a Great Depression and how they find work even though there aren't many jobs available.

At the time, that was 1/4 people. I could not imagine that happening today. I feel like the book will be about Migrant workers and the depressing time.

If I had to guess what the book "Of Mice and Men" is about, I would guess its about a family who lives in the great plains and has to move to California to find work.

From my OMM context building, one thing that stood out to me was that Of Mice and Men wasn't immediately well received. People thought it was fake, or exaggerating the conditions faced by migrant workers in California. However, that tune changed when the First Lady mentioned it. This sticks out because the conditions described were likely extremely harsh to warrant such criticism. Because of this, I believe that Of Mice and Men will focus on migrant workers during the Great Depression, and showcase a low standard of living.

I predict that in the book the characters will be forced to become migrant workers due to The Great Depression, because it was emphasized a lot in our learning.
