Speed of thought is a period of time when information was accepted and when our brain reacts to it. There are three type of the reaction. First is decision making, second is action planing, third is perception. However, it is individual.
There are 3 main key factors affecting the speed of thought: distance, neuron characteristics and complexity. Distance means the longer signals are located, the the longer time it needs to reach brain.
The second key states that signals travel faster if their width is bigger that those that are narrower.
The third key is complexity. More neurons involved-longer time signals demand. Also, most neurons aren't in physical contact with other. The reaction to the information can appear in less than 150 ms. The scientists believe that the process starts in the brain stem. Also response depends on the difficulty of situation. Some responses take shorter time than other one.

This text is about factors affecting the speed of thought.Generally ir is possible to measure the speed by scientific methods, but it is challenging, because the response time needed to answer particular questions can vary based on several personal factors and complexity of the question itself. It was said that the reaction time is approximately the half time of eye blinking. Furthermore there are different neural factors affecting the speed of thought. There exist a direct dependence between complexity of thought and the speed

To identify the speed of anything beginning and end is needed. A "thought" can be defined as the first moment information received till action is done. "Thought" includes perception, decision-making, action-planning. Therefore, it is impossible to identify value of the "speed of thought" as there are a variety of different kind of thoughts. Thought is individualized process which is not clearly observable. Researchers and scientists provide some thechniques as functional magnetic resonance imaging and electroencephalography, however which only observe areas of brain when activity is happening.

The speed of thought depends on neural factors: at distance, neuron characteristics and complexity.
First of all the farther impulses need to travel, the more time it need to have for reaction it can be demonstrated from reflexes. Interesting fact that same refelxes experienced by taller people have longer response time rather than shorter. Secondly, the width of the neuron is also important because signals with larger diameter sizes travel faster than signals with small diameters. Additionally, myelination plays some role. Signals which have myelin sheaths move more quickly than neurons without them. And lastly, the more number of neurons are involved for a certain thought, the more average distance they will need to travel at the end, as a result, they will acquire more time.

Thoughts can be formulatied in the inner ear and travels through a lots of structures of the nervous system before response. It's impossible to determine the speed of thought because each individual has their own speed of thought. To conclude also identifying speed of thougth may never be possible.

This text was focused on the ideas of finding speed of thought. By definition a "thought" is a mental activity inside the brain. Actually, speed of thought is difficult to find, as it depends on people and situation. Therefore they may vary in time scale.
The speed of thought should be determined considering different neural factors, which are distance between neurons, their characteristics, and complexity. So, as longer the distance between neurons, the longer it will take for thought to travel.
