Personal Statement

When organisms are born, they are not taught how to breathe, they know how to and start as soon as they enter the word. We never have to remind ourselves to inhale and exhale because instinctive behavior. When dogs have an itch, they know to scratch it with their hind legs. While I cannot speak for all of humanity, I know that I take this behavior for granted. I don't think about the significance it has on my life and how unfortunate my life would be without it.
