         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Montgomery  Bus Boycott  was a civil-rights protest during which African Americans refused to ride city buses in Montgomery, Alabama to protest segregated seating. The boycott took place from December 5, 1955 to December 20, 1956, and is regarded to as the first large-scale U.S demonstration against segregation. Four days before the boycott began, Rosa Parks was arrested and fined for refusing to yield her bus seat to a white man. The U.S supreme court ultimately ordered Montgomery to integrate its bus system, ad one of the leaders of the boycott, a young paster named Martin Luther King Jr., emerged as a prominent leader of the American civil rights movement.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Martin Luther King Jr was a social activist and baptist minister who played a key role in the American civil rights movement from the mid- 1950's until his assassination in 1968. He sought equality and human rights for African Americans, the economically disadvantaged and all victims of injustice through peaceful protest. He was also the driving force behind watershed events such as the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the 1963 March on Washington, which helped bring about such landmark legislation as the Civil Rights Act, and the Voting Rights Act.</div>]]></description>
