A place I once felt a sense of belonging. I used to visit this hair salon every 2 months to get my hair done. Not only did I go there for hair but because I felt a sense of belonging because the owner and the customers spoke Dinka in the salon. The place encouraged me to speak Dinka and that what kept me going. Being there had led to a positive emotion that I return to the place often to say hi.
The owner has recently shut down the business due to covid impact.

A building about 2min walk from my home. The street where the building is located has become part of my routine walk seen covid started. I often walk pass when I am going for a walk to get some fresh air. During the covid breakout in the building 3 weeks ago, the street was surrounded by police, and no one was allowed to walk pass the street. I felt a sense of homelessness for the residents but also, I felt a shift in my normal routine.

I was just settling in a new place, with new roommates, when the person I too the room from came back... Soon, they would ask me to leave.
