Both have their advantages and disadvantages, their pros and cons and each of them are right in their regard. In my opinion, I highly doubt that, on the day of judgement, there would be prejudice against humans or animals because, in the end, they are each a creation of god. The one thing that does make humans special over animals is that we have knowledge and we understand the differences between what is right and what is wrong.
