         <title>Our team at Bryant did an AWESOME JOB helping EL students with a WIDA level of 2 or 3 reach the 375 necessary for them to graduate! It is not and easy benchmark for students with such a low reading level to achieve in USVA History!</title>

Our National History Honors students piloted a program at Mt. Vernon Estates.  Fifty US History students visited the African American History museum.  A small group of self-contained students and EL students also visited Mt. Vernon Estates.  Mt. Vernon HS also hosted National History Day for another year.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We had a share fair where CTs shared a lesson they designed with the Engagement Model in mind.<br>We successfully navigated the new textbooks and teachers shared many new resources based on those books (homework assignments, reading quizzes, etc.).<br>Students went on a new field trip to the Holocaust museum that enriched the WH2 honors classes.<br>Our electives were popular enough that we had to add a new teaching position in the department for next year.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our Government Team registered more than 250+ new voters for this year's primary and midterm elections. West Springfield continued its tradition of excellence in the National History Day Program by having 5 student's projects place 1st or 2nd at the state competition and&nbsp;having all 5 go on to the National Competition with one of them getting an honorable mention. Brian Heintz's Applied History program logged a grand total of service hours 2585.5 since the end of January at various historic sites across the DC area.</div>]]></description>
