Hudson is approximately twenty minutes away from Boone, NC, the home of Appalachian State University. The entire town of Hudson is home to four stoplights and even fewer restaurants. When considering the size of my hometown, I know that no one knows where it is. When I got into high school, I said I wanted to be a cardiologist. Finally, after interning with a cardiologist, I decided I wanted more patient interaction. Nursing seemed like the perfect career, but the profession lacked one thing that I always wanted -- autonomy.
