How do you feel about the emergence of AI in the past few months?

I honestly have been enjoying the ongoing emergence of AI very much. I have been watching it develop from the sidelines since the very beginning and have been enjoying watching it grow and develop. I absolutely love the AI voice memes, and I am very excited to see where they go. However, the Obama, Trump, and Biden AI voice videos have gotten very old. There is a new trend where an AI voice sings text messages which I enjoy watching very much. I feel like companies may be trying to push AI too much, but as long they keep it free, I will still enjoy using it and honestly do not care how much they shove it in my face. The most recent development in artificial intelligence is SORA by OpenAI which was recently announced and it took the world by storm. While it is still in very limited testing and only a select few can use it, it can generate 60 second long hyper-realistic videos in just seconds, and I imagine that by the time I am reading this again, SORA will be ancient technology and AI will be much more advanced.

As of writing this, it has been I little over two months since I started watching Breaking Bad and I am currently on season three episode eight. I also have been playing tennis everyday at school and plan to join the team next year. By the time I am reading this again, I hope that I have finished watching all of breaking bad and am on the Heritage Tennis school.

This meme is a clip from Despicable Me captioned, “Drake assembling his thousands of underpaid ghost writers after hearing the Kendrick diss.” It essentially describes the current Drake “beef” where “he” has been dissing almost every popular rapper on the planet. However, people believe that it is not really him writing the disses, but instead is his ghostwriters creating them.

For entertainment, I love playing video games such as Squad Busters and Brawl stars. Additionally I also love climbing trees. As if right now, Squad Busters is exactly one month from going global and I had to switch my region to Canada to play it, but my hopes for the game are high and hopefully by the time I am reading this again, the game is alive and doing well. Also as of today, the Brawl Stars Godzilla event has started and extremely very entertaining and I have had to keep stopping myself from playing it in class.

News Headlines 1 -King Charles Cancer situation😕

This specific article is an article from early February Informing the reader that King Charles has cancer. Since February, King Charles’s cancer situation has only gotten worse which is unfortunate because he has only been king for a little over a year. This news article really does not affect me too much emotionally, but it still makes me a little sad or disappointed because someone who just became king will probably have their reign end very early.

This photo is also from our North Carolina trip, however it was taken in Virginia. We drove up to Virginia to bike down 17 miles of the Virginia Creeper Trail. Although this was pretty exhausting, this was definitely my highlight of the trip.

Skibidi Toilet is a YouTube series about a dancing head in a toilet which appeared in early February. Since then, it has become a huge meme and trend online, even inspiring other memes, trends and even games such as “Toilet Tower Defense” and the “brainrot” meme.

Something that is going on in the world right now which drives me crazy is companies making everything a subscription service. I absolutely hate subscription services and especially hate how many companies are creating them. If I want to buy something, I do no not want to sign up for a $7 a month subscription, I just want the buy the item. It has even gotten to the point where the CEO of Ubisoft stated that, “One of the things we saw is that gamers are used to, a little bit like DVD, having and owning their games. That's the consumer shift that needs to happen.” This is the CEO of Ubisoft flat out saying that people need to get used to not owning their games anymore, because they are likely going to start charging for a subscription and if you stop paying, you will no longer own your games. I very much dislike the direction the world is going in where you cannot just buy something, but instead you have to sign up for a subscription, and the second you cancel it, you lose the item. I really do not want to be forced to spend $80 per month on countless random subscriptions that I only subscribed to because I wanted one thing. I sincerely hope by the time I am reading this, companies realize that subscription services are flawed and stop pushing them, but I highly doubt that will be the case.

Donald Trump, the first ever former president to face crimes prosecution’s trail has entered its third week. New witnesses will come to shed light on his hush-money deal which he struck right at the end of his 2016 presidential campaign. He is accused of 34 felony charges of falsifying records including a $130,000 hush-money payment to pornstar Stormy Daniels. The payment, made by his fixer Micheal D. Cohen was made to silence Daniels’s story of a sexual encounter with Trump. This news article makes me feel more surprised than anything else. I never thought there would be a former president facing 34 felony charges who still plans to run again.

This is a photo of me climbing trees, one of my favorite afterschool pastimes. This is currently one of the tallest trees I can reach, and my goal is to be able to climb every tree in this park, and maybe by the time I am reading this, I will have reached this goal.

This is a video of me playing tennis with my dad. This is one of my favorite things to do over the weekends, and when I am not doing this, I am usually playing videos games with my dad.The quality of the video is very low however, because of Padlet’s 20 megabit limit.

Journal entry #3 - eighth grade 💯

Honestly, eighth grade has been very easy thus far, and although I know it will not be, I hope the rest of my school life is just as easy. I really feel like I am at the sweet spot of school. In eighth grade, we have freedom, but not too much. For example, we can walk around campus freely, but we do not get independent periods. I feel like an independent would actually be worse than a study hall for me, because there is no teacher there to make me actually do my work (not that I do it in study hall anyways). Also, we get enough help with assignments and projects, that we know what we are doing, but not too much where we do not even have to think at all, as was given in previous years. I feel that the future will get much more difficult, and I have heard that in high school, teachers just give projects and assignments and expect you to know what to do. Currently, the only hard class I have is geometry one honors, but I have an amazing teacher, Mr. Solomon who makes the class much more bearable. When I am reading this in the future, I will probably find myself pretty delusional for saying this, but I hope and believe that I will be able to maintain straight A’s in high school.

Ever since my cousin introduced me to Kanye West earlier in this summer, he has been my favorite artist by far. I love almost all of his music and my favorite song from him changes very often, but as of writing this, my favorite would probably be “Through the Wire” or “Homecoming”. I love both songs, and they have each been stuck in my head for days at a time. Album wise, I absolutely love the album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” and I would probably say that it is my favorite with a very close second of “Graduation”. As of writing this, Kanye West has recently come out with a new album “Vultures 1”, and it is honestly pretty mediocre. I am unsure if my opinion on that album will change because there are a few great songs on it. However, I currently feel like he has dozens of way better songs and albums and this album simply pales in comparison to them.
