Respect is something that you show. It’s when you treat others in a nice way, a way of caring or have a way of creating peace. For example, when a teacher ask you to do something you do it in a nice way. What you don’t do is not do it or have adittude about it that would make the event worse. This is what I would define respect as.

Respect means to treat someone well because of how you see them or what they have done. They can be based off of their profession or just their knowledge but you can find many resacones to respect people based off of your standards. Sometimes people demand respect when addressing someone or being addressed. An example of this in the classroom is bowing to your teacher or greeting them maturely. A non-example of respect in the classroom is addressing the teacher or other students by friendly names when you have no authority to do so.

Respect is something that is earned not given. If you have respect for someone it is because they have done something that you believe in or something you agree with. If you are respected, you have done something to win someone's respect. Respect is also to treat others fairly and kindly even if you have no clue who they are. There are several examples of respect that I alone can think of. One of these is if or when the teacher leaves he classroom you respect her enough to continue what you are doing without distracting others. Another example could be to greet your peers and teachers in a respectful manner. A non-example would be to rudely walk into the room while a discussion is in progress, and make a ruckus upon entering.
