When reporter Adam Schefter made the public "tweet" about Jason's amputated finger he was breaking this rule. Immacula Richmond and Brenda Johnson were also at fault when they told people about Jason's private information without his authorization. 
The Security Rule: The Security Rule protects patients private health information electronically. I feel that way because of the fact that Schefters didn't request the information about the patient but was sent the information by a caregiver. The outcome was that nurse Immacula Richmond and secretary Brenda Johnson both had their employment contracts terminated as a result of the privacy breach.
