3) An emerging issue related to sexual violence is the use of social media. More predators are using social media platforms and are targeting young girls. Predators are also using social media to fill the role of the provider in cases where single mothers do not have a partner. They are using the mother, gaining their trust through monetary manipulation, and using the mother as a doorway to the children.
