         <description><![CDATA[<div>The colonists reaction to the enforced laws generated by the British was hat they didn't think it was fair and they were upset about it. Eventually it made it hard for normal businesses to stay in business because it was expensive. They were mad because they had no say in these taxes and later on they protested against it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many colonists felt that they should not pay taxes, because they were passed in England by Parliament, not by their own colonial governments. They protested, saying that these taxes violated their rights as British citizens. The colonists started to resist by boycotting, or not buying, British goods.</div>]]></description>
