It shows how one person could be living on top of the world with all the money they could want (the only thing that matters to anyone today) and others down in the dumps with nothing other than a shack as a house and $1.00 a day. Comparisont to the background, it shows a area of the world with huge skyscrapers everywhere, and you can think of africa where they have small wooden stalls and a fiew buildings. It sickens me how one place can be so good than others, and the inequality waves are rising.

After looking at the pictures and Mathew's story I think that if there was a god then surely he wouldn't let so much suffering go on and even if "it was us" that messed up the balance he could help so why doesn't help. If he really does exist then he could stop all this but he doesn't help with things one little bit from what I can see.

I agree with seona If we did cause the suffering in the world

not God than why doesn't he help us.E.g send rain to the

places that have a lot os droughts, help the crops become successful

so people can eat.

I wonder what god(if he exists) thinks about all this suffering and if he did cause it why did he not share out the wealth between everyone instead of haveing countries where lots of people live in poverty and dispare

After again watching the video and looking at Mathews painting it makes me feel eager to help people in need and not sit back and do nothing. Its quite scary knowing most of the world is suffering and its not even their fault. Its heart breaking really knowing people die of starvation and others get so much but to them so little. Our crops grow theirs don't, our streets are paved theirs aren't, our entertainment is amazing they have none. I thank dearly charities the people donate or are sponsored for something they do. The world is an unfair place and shouldn't be like this. How could the lord do this to these poor, helpless people that thrive on rice and dirty water, how could he make the lands so dry and to hot, why did he do it, a lesson, to make the world a place of teamwork. Well what I think is that God messed up because he (if he exists) is the causes of hundreds of deaths per week maybe thousand each month but he shouldn't have done and should try to stop it because we cant do it on our own.

I think that if the world was narrowed down to 100 people then you really do realise what priveledges

we have and looking at others in poverty who are starving and dieng from dehydration from droughts from the

sun. Well i think that if people say that they ar being taught that you should have more care for what you receive

but i think that they are wrong because if he ( god ) did exist well why would he cause suffering to people in countries like africa

and not to us. why? what to poor people do to dishonour god? I think that they have chosen a background of the city because

we are showing what all things could like but are not and how you should appreciate that you have brick houses and not small

wooden shacks or scrap houses like in countries where poverty has hit yet again i mention africa. i also agree with seona and

lauren.

i think that there is a reason behind suffering because for example if the big bang happened someone should have done it . i think that god is showing that not everyone are fortunate and if you help these innocent. i also think that god is giving us an opportunity to help each other, to express the feelings but some people do not care what is really unfair. god just wants to make us shameful so that we would help and will make the world a happier place.

the world wreked by us and we could fix it if we try because if the world was perfect no one would want to help when asked and there will be fights over properties and money so i think that the world being a better place and the world not beiong a better place will cause a big problem.

I agree with Seona when all the suffering is going on in the world you would think God would want to help and wouldn't just let his world be taken over with suffering when there is loads and loads of people needing help. They must have done something to have this happen to them or God must be teaching us a lesson that we should share what we have or care for others.

Well,I think that there is nothing to blame except creation most of us have been brought into what we have so we can't do anything. It isn't us because we aren't all greedy we just have these things. It's because of droughts and floods that people often struggle.

There is so much suffering and Matthew's pictures and life makes me believe that God didn't design Earth . If all the things people say and believe about God are true then why would he make innocent people suffer. If Earth was perfect though we would have no understanding of forgiveness and anger but we need to know these things.The only thing we can do is appreciate what we have and be charitable.

I agree with Seona because there is no help . Some countries don't get rain and God would fix that. Some people are starving. God could fix that but it isn't fixed now is it ? I disagree with Naheem because not all countries decide to fight they have to because it's the only way to survive. However, I do agree that war is unnecessary.

If you look at all the poverty in the world and the list of things if there was only 100 people in the world it really makes you appreciate what we have, like Sam P said. If we could all live equally life would be better but that can never happen unfortunately. What I don't understand is that in Alton Towers they just built "The Smiler" which cost 18 million pounds to make and that money could have gone towards helping other people but it went towards our entertainment . Don't we have enough in this part of the world we live in ?

I think the picture in the background has been chosen instead

of a poorer area because it shoes the difference between the

two (poorer and richer area.) It shows how money and having

facilities can make a difference.

I don't understand why God would want to create a world

with so much suffering and sadness. Why couldn't he of made

us all equal to each other and have us all have the same amount

of money and the same facilities? (water and food etc) However

maybe he did create a fair and equal world but we destroyed it!

Human beings could be the ones to blame.

Lauren wrote about how God feels about the suffering and

unfairness which made me wonder how he feels about what

has happened to earth and how it has turned out.

well i agree with Sam P because if God did exist why is he creating all the problems only for some and not for others. Is there a reason behind this or is it just what he thinks is right? What have the people done to deserve this? If they have done something wrong they should get a punishment but not a big one like poverty. On adverts you see little children and what dirty facilities they have and here we are having a roof over our heads, clean water and food, clothing, education, money, the latest phones and lots of money to go towards when we are older. The world has been wrecked by us because of people not being grateful to what they have. If we want to we can fix this world into a friendly place without greedy people. All we have to do is try. Without the world being a better place we cant achieve anything and we cant beat poverty. Poverty is taking over lives and people like us arent bothering to care.

they give some to charity. Entertainment comes after lives.

They could be saving lives but instead they are making more products to entertain us.

I agree Olivia and Seona that if there was a god he/ she would be trying to teach us a lesson to share with others and share with the less fortunate. It is heart breaking that these innocent people had no choice in how they were brought into this world and we should be less materialistic and should think of others.

I agree with Megan a because all these rich people are not giving any money they are just taking it all and making profit why don't people share this money in the world to the LEDC'S and 3rd world country. It is so heartbreaking to see people suffer because of our sins that we do and god is punishing them why doesn't he make us suffer.Some people have a theory that we come back in another life wealthier and some people have a theory that we have no god and this is not going on because we are being bad bad.

Even though it isn't fair that 20% of people have 80% of the wealth, I think as long as the money belongs to you, you can do what you want with it. And that includes not sharing it or donating to charities.

People shouldn't suffer for other people's doings because it is not much of a lesson for

wealthy people it's a punishment for poor peoplo it is so very bad and sad it also gets to my

feelings. Why this shouldn't happen to anyone, please let them get all the facilities that we have

I think that maybe like naheem said that there

could be a reason behind all the suffering and

maybe its concentrated in that area because

that's the place where its quite hard to find food

and water and if everywhere was like that then

how would anyone survive and get education and

things like that that are very vital. It shows us that

if we don't get the new games console or game or

the latest fashion items we are like many other

people except they are without food and fresh

clean water, and things like that CAN actually kill us

whereas the things we don't get CANT. Its kinda sad :(

Are we lucky, or is God trying to show us that appreciate what you have and make good use of it.

If the big bang took place, don't you think someone is behind it and if there is then who? This is

obviously the work of God and no one else. I agree with Naheem because his reason is absolutely

correct. I also agree with Sam P because there has to be someone behind everything. Just like the

quote "every watch has a watch maker", just like us, humans, animals, nature even the world,

there's a creator behind all this and this has to be God. If we weren't here, if there were no water,

air, animals or even the world then we wouldn't even be here. Where would we be? In what form

and place?
