Interesting fact:
The museum has played a significant role during the 1848-49 revolution and war of independence. In March 15 of 1848 Petőfi Sándor recited the national Song on these stairs.
Today the main celebrations take part in this area. A week ago the Prime Minister was standing and talking on these stairs.
It is an interesting fact that  in the move inferno the  National Museum represented the Harvard University where Robert Langdon (alias Tom Hanks) works.

On the square we can often see flashmobs. Sometimes you can meet there with Hungarian footballers (they have posted a lot of pictures when they were here). A few times a day we can hear the bells. When it’s Christmas we can take part there in the Christmas market. Zrínyi street is the cobblestoned  street which leads straight to the Danube bank. If you walk down the street you will see a statue of Ferenc Liszt, Danube Palace (which is a theater). You will pass a statue of a chubby hungarian police officer - pet his paunch because it brings good luck!) It was inspired by characteristic faces of the city, and its physique was formed after the artist’s grandfather. At the end of the street there is the  the Danube.

He wrote the Szózat, one of Hungary's most famous poems.

Only a few people know, but Gerbaut, one of Hungary's most famous confectionaries can be found here.

In the winter, there's a bigger crowd here.  In this square is the world famous Christmas Fair where you can find mulled wine, gingerbread cookies and kürtös kalács and you can even skate! The stalls sell handmade craft products. The street form this square is Vaci street, the most famous and touristy street of Budapest. Do not buy presents from this street, they are very expensive. Look for shops in the inner city. 

This is a stunning great synagogue is the largest Jewish house of worship  in the world outside New York . Built is 1859(eighteen fifti nein) .Has both romantic andMoorish architestural elements. Inside there is a museum where you can see objects relating to religious and everyday life. On the North side of the building there is a tree of life which reminds us of the people murdered in the word war II .Inside there is an organ dating back to 1902(nineteenO’two)   this is the only synagogue in Hungary where is you can see a musical instrument. Inside there is a jewish headstone from roman Pannonia dating back To the 3thsenctury, and ritualistycsilvers. On the leavestree of life Memorial designed by Imre Varga you can read name of the victims of the war. There are interractive displays viedos in the museum,  and we can learn about jewish life From the 18th century onward.
