Rome is predominantly known for its immense archaeological heritage preserved in ancient Rome, traced mainly between the Seven Hills, including the Palatine, the Capitol, the Esquiline and the Quirinal. At the religious level, Rome is the largest city in the world of Catholic religion, with the highest concentration of churches and basilicas of various historical periods, from the fourth century to the present.
