Behavior - throwing plate, cup and utencils

Consequence - I go to her and have her pick her things up

Behavior- mimicking peers self stimulatory behaviors

Antecedent- Another peer engages in self stimulatory behavior

Consequence- We go to him and ask him to stop or say something else

Behavior - Resistive to care, does not want to get up from bed

Antecedent - Poor sleep/rest

Consequence - Skin issues, misses community outing opportunities/work

Behavior - takes a LONG time packing up instrument from strings class and transitioning back to class (even for preferred subject); making them late to start next lesson

Antecedent - strings teacher announces end of class and prompts students w/ steps to pack up; kids start packing up

Consequence - extra/personal "invitation" to pack up (prompting); sometimes side conversation with strings teacher while other kids are leaving room to return to class; also on his way back to class, he will stop and chat up adults he passes

As I type and seeing attention/connection as a motivator/need...I may now try to see how I can get him extra time with strings teacher (planned); she's new and the kids really like her; other teachers, myself included, have like time when kids select to "hang out" with us throughout the week; get that need met [can put visual in strings room that says when he will see teacher again...she can point to it without engaging in convo as he packs up and tries to talk to her, delaying transition].
