Robert Louis Stevenson " The Treasure Island"

The idea for Treasure Island was ignited by a map that Stevenson had drawn for his 12-year-old stepson; Stevenson had conjured a pirate adventure story to accompany the drawing, and it was serialized in the boys' magazine Young Folks from October 1881 to January 1882. The book was Stevenson's first volume-length fictional work. The main idea is that if you want to destroy the evil you must use not perfidy and cunning , you must be brave and do not afraid of anything.
As for me i like Jom Hokings , because he was a brave young boy and he was a person who readers like most of all

The Black Arrow: A Tale of the Two Roses is an 1888 novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. It is both a historical adventure novel and a romance novel.
The Black Arrow talks about the events of the second half of the 15th century. At that time in England there was a bloody war for the throne.
One of the main characters of this novel is Richard Shelton (Dick) who is the son of Sir Harry Shelton. He is "not yet eighteen" and described as "sun-browned and grey-eyed boy". He is looked upon as the leader of the Black Arrow outlaws in Shoreby. I think he is my favourite character as in this book he is show to us as brave and honest young man who wants to punish the person who had killed his father many years ago, but at that time he isn't bloodthirsty and during the story helps many other people.

Hide and Seek was Wilkie Collins' third published novel (1854). It is the first of his novels involving the solution of a mystery.
Hide and Seek is a tale of love, betrayal, hardship and forgiveness.
My favorite character of this story is Mary or Madonna. She was left as a newborn in the care of strangers when her mother dies by the roadside, starving as a result of her leaving home from the "shame" of being pregnant and unwed. Madonna's background becomes a central mystery of Collins's novel. She is of great interest as well because Collins makes her both deaf and mute. Collins researched this affliction and Madonna's portrayal is both sensitive and entirely believable.

It describes the life and relationships of Bathsheba Everdene with her lonely neighbour William Boldwood, the faithful shepherd Gabriel Oak, and the thriftless soldier Sergeant Troy.
My favourite character:
I sympathise with Farmer Gabriel Oak who was a quiet, sensible man. I find him a man of good character. I admire him being skillful, hardworking, and honest young guy.
Basically, Oak is the first of several suitors for the beautiful but seemingly capricious Bathsheba Everdene. Though she rejects his love, he still remains loyal to her which is an extremely valuabe desicion for a man. And finally, after all the tragic events happened, he is rewarded by Bathsheba’s hand in marriage.
Mityagina Evgeniya

Alice is also unusually conscientious child.
I find the story rather interesting and instructive and every person has to read it.

He is a modest narrator, never boasting of the remarkable courage and heroism he consistently displays. Jim is often impulsive and impetuous, but he exhibits increasing sensitivity and wisdom.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a 1865 book written by English author and mathematics professor, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll.

I believe that the main message of this novel is we should be able to think independently. We also should be able to look at the world in a new way, to doubt something, but at the same time to believe in our own strength.

The novel has a large number of characters, but most of all I liked Alice. Alice faced dangers and went through many adventures. She made many friends in Wonderland and they always helped Alice and never left her in a dangerous moment. Alice was a very brave, clever, quick-witted girl. She wasn't afraid to face danger. Alice is a wonderful girl and that's why I like her the most.

“ Cranford” is one of the better-known novels of the 19th-century English writers of the Elizabeth Gaskell. It was first published between December 1851 and May 1853. It was then published, with the minor revision, in book form in 1853.
My favorite character is Mary Jenkyns, lives in the small town of Cranford, which is full of unmarried or widowed women. I find the heroine very interesting, kind and always ready to help.
I think that the main theme of this novel is feminine independence and empowerment.

“The Moonstone” by Wilkie Collins

''The Moonstone'' by Wilkie Collins is an early example of the English detective novel. It both conforms to and differs from mid-Victorian formulations of the genre and regards issues such as imperialism, feminism, and social class. It was published in 1868.
The main idea is “what is done by night, appears by day”

Most of all characters I liked Sergeant Cuff. Cuff is a famous detective from London and is hired to investigate the case of the missing Moonstone. He doesn't look the part of a detective, but his knowledge and persistent questioning prove impressive. He is an extremely professional man who is, by far, the best investigator for solving this mystery.
