Sit and reach test
Sit down, keeps legs extended at all times and attempt to reach as far as possible. this test is used to see how flexible someone is on their lower back and hamstring muscles, and also how far they can reach with their arms over their legs. You need to extend your legs in front of the box and reach over as far as possible. All that is needed for this test is a sit and reach box. The test is very quick and simple as it only takes up to a couple of minutes, but it is actually also very expensive, reaching up to 90 pounds, meaning you might not be able to do the test because it is so expensive. There are not any skills required to take out this test so its a very easy test to complete. Another disadvantage to the test is that when someone is doing the test, they could create an injury from it, just like stretching out your hamstrings too far which will then put the athlete out of training and exercising for a while.

12 minute cooper run test
In this aerobic endurance test you must need to attempt to run as far as possible in a limited time period of twelve minutes. The purpose of this test is to see how strong or resistant every person is and to test their aerobic endurance which means how long you can exercise continuously without tiring. It is very easy to set up as all you need is a rather large, open area, some cones to mark out the distance and then a stopwatch to count the 12 minute time period, meaning it wont take long to to get the test ready for athlets to do. To do the test you start on the starting line and then you keep going until the stop watch reaches 12 minutes and during that time someone would be seeing how far you have ran. The test will obviously take 12 minutes but not including how long it takes to set up and prepare which could take a small amount of time like 2 minutes. The test is very cheap ,meaning also that its a good test to do as its fast and easy to set up and get all the things needed for it, as all you need are some cones and a stopwatch, there are no skills needed to carry out this test as it is very simple. you could even test a big group of people at once which makes it easier and faster to test all the athletes, and the only big disadvantage that this test carries is that it needs a lot of practice and rarely could injure someone. one practical value that could come from this test is after a while from doing it, your general heart rate will be lower

Push up test

The purpose of the push up test is to see how strong you are in your upper body area measuring all the strength you have. To set up this test you would usually need only a floor mat which the press ups would be done on. To run this push up test the person taking the test needs to have only their hands on toes touching the floor with their back and legs straight, arms at shoulder width apart and feet only slightly apart from each other, with everything in line, the person will lower their body to just above the floor where their arms should be at a 90 degrees angle with their body. The person comes back up still with his legs and body straight and this is repeated until it cannot be done anymore. The test is quite a short test as it is difficult to do quite a lot of push ups one after another for a long time making it a hard test . The test is very cheap and easy, which means it can be taken out by anyone, as all the equipment that is needed is a floor mat which aren't expensive at all. There are no particular skills needed to carry out the test but to have decent upper body strength to get a good result out of this test. The practical value that this tests gives is it shows how strong any person is on their upper body which can then help them get a better idea of how much harder they need to work if they set themselves a goal or if they had already set themselves a goal. An advantage about this test is that many people can be tested at once and not just one person at a time.

30 meter dash test

The purpose of the 30 meter dash test is to see everybodies speed and acceleration, it measures someone's velocity (acceleration and speed)in a distance of 30 meters and has to be done in the fastest time possible. To set up this test you need a starting line where the athlete will start and ,if possible, time gates could be used but if they are not used then someone at the end of the 30 meters will use a stopwatch to measure the time. There needs to be a flat surface area of at least 40 meters or above, and then also cones to measure the distance of 30 meters which is how much has to be run by each competitor. The test is usually quite fast to do but you can only do one competitor at a time meaning it will take a bit longer than expected making it a disadvantage. The test is relatively quite cheap as all that is needed is a stopwatch and cones to mark out the starting and ending points, unless time gates are used which could be a bit more costly to whoever is running the tests. the skills usually needed to carry out the test are speed and acceleration meaning you might have to be more athletic to carry out the test but also reaction time when the time recorder shouts when to start the sprint. A practical value for the 30 meter dash is for football as this test is usually a scenario that happens for footballers when they have to sprint with the ball.

The purpose of the standing long jump test is to measure the explosive power in everyone's legs and then the test will measure how far they can jump from a standing position. To set up this test you need a tape measure and then a floor area where no one will slip when jumping. To run this test, they will stand behind a designated line, they will have feet slightly apart and then they will jump as far as possible with two feet with also landing with two feet but not landing backwards, the score is taken from the foot furthest behind and at the heel of that foot. Each person gets three attempts at doing the test and the best result out of the three will be their final result, the only equipment needed for this test is a tape measure. The test is generally quite quick as it takes three attempts and each attempt is done rather quickly. It is very cheap to do this test as tape measures aren't expensive at all. There aren't any particular skills needed to take out this test but other than having quite strong legs to produce a decent score and also good balance to land properly without falling. The only practical value this test gives are how strong your legs are and if they are strong in comparison to other peoples results.

Handgrip Strength Test

The purpose of the hand grip strength test is measure the maximum strength in the arm and hand for a person and if someone tends to be strong in the arm then they would usually be strong everywhere else in the body so this test is used as a general strength test instead of just a test in the hand and arm, so in other words its a lot easier for people in general. To set up the test you need a handgrip dynamometer, to start off you put you arm at a right angle with your elbow by the side of your body, then when the person is ready, they will squeeze the dynamometer for about five seconds and then relax. the only equipment needed for this test is a dynamometer but dynamometers can be quite expensive, reaching up to over 800 pounds. the test is generally quite quick as each hand does the test a few times with 15 second time period in between and then there is an average that is made from all the times they did it. There are no skills needed to carry out the test as it is a very basic test as all that is needed to be done is In general squeeze the dynamometer as hard as you can. The tests practical value is just that it shows how strong you are but then help you give yourself a target on how much stronger to get over a certain period of time, making it a rather helpful tool. some disadvantages of this test and of the dynamometer are that the dynamometers does have to be calibrated from time to time, and another one is that it has to be adjusted for each hand size to ensure it the gives out reliable readings and making sure that it is almost completely accurate
