This tax will only add more problems to economically disadvantaged people. An addiction will not stop just because they cant afford it. Yes we need more funding for education and affordable housing, health care and everything else they claim the will use it for,  but minorities need it now especially because of the pandemic and won't get it for 5+ years. More money shouldn't be take from the already poor, and if the tax really was meant to help stop smoking the money would go towards campaigns that advocate towards this as well but they don't. Taxes should not be raised on tobacco and nic products.
